Hi,the Beosound Essence remote controls are simply beautiful and a pleasure to use - but there's a major(!) design flaw while using infrared mode: The steps send by the volume wheel are way to big!I know immediately when my wife uses the remote e.g. in the living room as the volume jumps up very high if you turn the wheel like you would with a conventional volume wheel on any other amplifier. You have to use the volume wheel like a surgeon in infrared mode and that is not very comfortable. A volume control is something you shouldn't need to think about and I'm not planning to place a warning sign next to the remote on the wall ;-)So: Is there a way to fix this? Can B&O update the remotes or does anybody know the original manufacturer of the remotes?Maybe we could make a little petition for example to ask B&O to fix this to make the remote a pleasure to use in infrared mode, too! Too many people outside this forum don't seem to know - as always - that that nice little remote thing is of so much use.
sorry TWG,
i can´t confirm your issue. Both , the wheelie and the IR-eye itself, control the volume as smooth as expected with my Essence MkII, no matter which source is playing. i´m in mode 1
