Hi,
I hope someone can help, I have a Beosystem 7000 (Beomaster 7000, Beogram 7000, Beogram CD 7000 & Beocord 7000) connected to a pair of the original Pentalab speakers. My problem is display on both speakers recognises component playing and nominal volume it's playing at but, unfortunately, regardless of whether the displayed volume is 0 or 80 no sound is coming out from either speaker. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be and how I go about rectifying it.
All help appreciated.
Regards,
Robin
Check the setting switches. Input switch to 3, mode switch to left or right.

Peter,
Thanks for your prompt response. I have to apologise for my ignorance; purchased system over 20 years ago - was set up for me at time of purchase and I no longer have user manuals; can you give me step by step instructions as to how I do this. haven't used system for years and am now resurrecting it as a second sound system.
Regards
This should help! The user and service manuals are all on site but you need to join as a silver member. If the Pentas are old, they may also have foam rot in the speaker cones and the amplifiers can deteriorate with time as well.
Thanks Peter, I will give this a go - hopefully all will then work fine. I think I will then take you up on your suggestion an go for a paid membership.
Best regards,
I used to have this system as my main house system. I 'upgraded' to a Beocenter 2 and sold the 7000, though kept the Penta 3s. One of my big mistakes - the 7000 system was much better sounding , especially in the link rooms. DAB radio in the BC2 is a boon though.
Sadly your solution did not work for me; subsequently I have plugged a pair of headphones into the Beomaster amp and there is no sound playing on these either which, to my mind, suggests problem lays with the amp. I haven't yet subscribed to Silver membership (intend to do so on 1st of month - skint after summer holiday ) but even with full service manuals my problem is going to lie on the diagnostic side. Do you have any hintsfor me.
This system was also my main house system for many years but space (a concern of my wife's) dictated we switched to a considerably more compact Bose system; sound is good but has never matched the B&O.
Best regards
