Out of interest Is that another previous gen screen?

Just read a review of LG E6 (thanks MM) and it seems absolutely fantastic. 3.700 $ for 65" so cheaper for 55" (max size for me).

Can't wait for the B&Oled.

If the E7 are going to be used....

AVSforum just mentioned prizing and release of the LG originals (in the US):

55″ E7, $4500, May
65″ E7, $6000, March

The won't come cheap, then.

If this years E6 will be used, they might come a bit cheaper, of course.

As for when? It would be odd, if the wait untill this fall with the release ----- and still use the 2016 models, wouldn't it?

But don't forget - there is nothing confirmed yet!!!

On a sidenote:

No matter which series or even technology, they will be using for the LG/B&O tv's, it will be an upgrade to the current.

The bigger (much bigger) question is, how do they integrate with, what is core B&O?

How will the sound/sound engine work with/in these modern picture-focussed tv's?

How will the interface be - how well will they work with current NL (and also ML) products.....?

add in the B&O audio processing, and presumably design added value, and i dont see any reason to believe the TVs will be priced any cheaper than the existing range.....i.e a current 55inch, whether Avant or BV14, is roughly 7000-8000 (GBP), i'd expect the OLEDs to be similar.....

as MM mentions, would be hard to consider the E series as out of date tech......whether they use last years or this years will get people very agitated, though by all initial accounts there isn't a huge difference between the e6 and e7 panel, albeit the e7 hasn't really been reviewed yet........

So, no Oled panels in the current BV14 or Avant then? I hear these pronunciations more often.

Same as actual Avant (10.300 € on floor stand) will be max for me.

But I'm afraid it will be more than that. Hope to be wrong.

yes, will be interesting......having various TV options, pricing in absolute and relative terms will be interesting so B&O dont cannibalise the other products........if the OLEDs are more or less the same price as the Avant/BV14 , it will hurt sales of those products i guess......so i expect it will be little more, maybe not by much.....so a 55 BV14 is around (GBP) 7300 with a wall bracket, a 55 Avant with a wall bracket is around 7800, i'm guessing a 55 OLED will be a bit more.....unless they drop the prices of the BV14 / Avant's a little, which is hard to see.......but all guesswork for now i suppose.....

A 65" panel would probably accelerate my decision to purchase. :)

Maybe we'll only have a 65" to fill the Avant gap (55, 75, 85).

I hope not, it won't fit in my room.

So what will be the name of the oled ? Beovision 15, Beovision Valeur (designer's name but also french for value - another french name like other ones : Avant, Ouverture, Moment, Essence, Horizon) ?

Surprised........

or shocked?

What if the BV14 and the Avant NG - at least the 55/65" versions - would be dropped, when the new tv's arrive?

That would make way for new prices/a new price structure.

Both I hope. If it is standard LG panel connected to a B&O sound box and extra processing(I doubt it) essentially all you pay extra for is the upgraded sound and connectivity.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

indeed a possibility, though that may annoy existing / recent purchasers of the NG TVs.....though that consideration may well get overlooked......

I hope the horizon sees the benefit of the new panels, but given how recently they were released I'm not sure Erm..

Chris, no dealer has seen or knows anything about the OLED TVs. How can they speculate on pricing? No way they know at this stage.

Sounds like hope, not fact.

Is the B and O LG TV going to be manufactured in South Korea in an outsourced arrangement?

To my knowledge the manufacturing will be done by LG, to get economies of scale, so that could be in South Korea I guess.

I was told that dealers are supposed to have an introduction to / glimpse of the B&O OLED in May. If there are no delays, this could mean it's announced during the August/September timeframe. I hope it will be.

The LG OLED I have, properly calibrated for day & night, beats BV11 in picture quality by a very large margin. But LG is no B&O – I miss the B&O design, materials, and sound, even though I have the SH7 soundbar on the wall below the TV.

As for pricing, nothing is set yet – so anything you may hear from your dealer is speculation at this point.

B&O product history since 1991: Ridiculously long to list in a signature.

It would be a major disappoint to me if the design and materials were not up to quality of at least the current Avant.  I hope the new Beovision will be the best one they have ever produced.
