Hello!
Someone know about the circle with "D" inside at the front panel (in the right side of the magic eye)? Not all B&O Dirigent 609K receivers have this sign.
Thank you!
The D in a circle is a mark from Demko (Danish Electric Material Control). They test and certify electric appliances for safe use on mains.Usually the D-mark is at the back somewhere, not sure why they put it up front on this one, really.Martin
Hi Dillen!
Thank you for reply.
Here is a picture with my Dirigent 609K with this mark on the front panel.
Very nice Dirigent
Interesting to see the B&O echo-unit on top of it. I saw this unit few times on Ebay but it is rather rare to find.
Do you use it, is it connected to the Dirigent? Are you satisfied with the sound?

Hi the_o_master!
The echo unit is in good working order and it is plugged to the Dirigent 609k receiver.I use it when I listen some LPs.When I used it for first time for my surprise it give a hum noise.Looking closer I discover that noise comes from Dirigent unit's transformers and turntable vibrations (used in configuration like in the image - on the furniture). It is very sensitive to the vibrations, so I mount rubber self sticky anti vibration pads on bottom of the unit for reduce noise. After that the noise reduced to zero and sounds great.
Best regards,
Catalin.
