Every time I travel I always go hunting for the B&O store/s in the region.

Do you do the same?

I found the store here in Bangkok in the Gaysorn shopping centre

It was in a funny spot but Gaysorn is high end.

I thought they might also be better placed in the Siam Paragon centre with the Rolls dealership.

The store was beautiful though. Very well laid out in the new style. They had the multi room going and the BL20s in the colour I would choose : driftwood beige.

The sales person was a real delight too.

The nearest Sky train station is "Siam" and it is opposite the Erawan Shrine and 500 yards from Central World shopping centre. See map below

Yep, I have two main goals when visiting with family : find the Rolex and B&O stores.

Fun game and they are always on very nice places !

I bought a watch in Italy in 2014 (Rolex boutique on Ponte Vecchio bridge in Firenze - a model I couldn't find home GMT BLNR) but never a B&O product even a small one.

I visited terminal 3 in Heathrow, and all the Rolexes were at least 20% off. Shop next to Tiffanys. Just sayingWhistle

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

Now we are greatly off topic and I will stop with a pic of The watch with the Duomo after I bought it.

Oh, and yes I passed near a B&O shop in Firenze each time I took the tram but couldn't stop.

Reminds me of a visit we paid to Berlin a couple of years ago when we spotted the B&O shop in the early hours of the evening. I'd told my wife about a new product which we'd meant to look at at the local shop so she had a look and misjudged how close she was to the shop window. She bumped into it loudly and really surprised the salesman inside. I'll never forget the poor man's expression but I'm trying to remember the new product...

Beo Century ,Beoplay V1, Beocenter 6, Ex-Beolit 12, Beotime , A8. Beolit 15 , Form 2i , Beolab 2000, Beoplay A3.Beosound 1

That wouldn't have included the stainless steel sports models. They are never discounted anywhere and the airports don't carry the professional models anyway, very occasionally as a special order if notice given but then only transferred from Watches of Switzerland store. Just your Date-Just and Day-Dates held in the terminals.

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

I've done that before too. But it was into a mirror. I didn't even see myself coming haha

How do you drown a blonde? Put a mirror at the bottom of the pool.

I haven't replicated that in any other store nor a b&o one

There is only one b&o store here in Thailand

Perhaps I should visit another country next

When I go to Japan I'll definitely go to the b&o store there

The new look Bang and Olufsen of Shreswbury.

A good way forward for independent retailers IMHO.

Are B&O 'softening up' on non-B1 stores now?  I thought it was their way or the highway... Confused

In MalmΓΆ, Sweden, one of the B&O shops is closed for quite some time now. Still B&O and Bang and Olufsen signs are on the building, doesn't look that nice with empty shop.

The other B&O shop is no longer official B&O dealer, and is not mentioned on B&O website either. They're still up and running, so nothing changed in that respect, and I was there just this Friday contemplating the BS MomentCool

Edit: oh, and Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) has a very nice B&Oplay shop Yes - thumbs up

That's great Ferdinand.

I wish there were more b&o airport stands / shops.

I do go and look for them at the Duty Free too.

We have 3 b&o shops in Melbourne (greater). One of them is in the new format and has all the items in display.

The 2 other smaller ones are still in the older format.

Oh hai πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈRob

Thanks. Didn't know that.

That explains why then in the paper it had camberwell and the other shop on the corner together in the one ad. That had me thinking.

So that makes me wonder are all 4 the emerald group.

I went to the B&O store in the Istetan store in Shinjuku (level 5) yesterday

It was truly amazing.

They have a b&O section that looks like an actual home and it's amongst the furniture section.

It was the first time that I have seen a beovision horizon with the table stand / easel. And it was the first time that I didn't think it looks industrial.

If you are in Tokyo it's well worth a visit.

I have since visited 2 more stores

The other day I went to, well stumbled across another one in Tokyo. Wako nimiki dori building in Ginza

It was like your traditional B&o store. But there was minimal signage on the outside and up 3 floors or so in the lift. You wouldn't even know it existed

You get out of the lift and enter straight into the store and it's interesting as there are no windows whatsoever.

Today I went to visit the store here in Osaka which is in a bookstore within a department store. It was quite unique.

I would have liked to purchase something but with the exchange it means that a beosound 2 in brass (moxey I've seen it in all 3 or 4 Japanese stores) is an additional $1000 AUD above out price at home which is tooooo expensive.

I don't know how they afford it here. Perhaps salaries are way higher.

In the Wako store in Ginza they had the "final edition" beolab 5

The silver is polished however it's not a mirror finish.

I was travelling on a bus a week ago down the beach area at Nevogilde just outside the city of Porto in Portugal and was very surprised to see a B&O store which effectively looked out over the only beach area. The bus carried on down the "Avenue da Boavista towards the city centre and we had only gone a couple of miles and there was yet another B&O store.

I now know that there are three (3) B&O stores in the Porto area, one in the city centre, the one on the beach and one on the road between the other two.

Regards Keith....

Nice! I've not seen it yet. Not so fussed about it now I have the BS1 in brass (to be honest, I think the BeoLit is more powerful!).
