hello everybody
i have read numerous posts about multiroom but still cant get it
I have a moment with beolabs 18 on the living room working perrectly
bought yesterday an A6 for the bedroom
still cant get it to work the way i want it
i want while playing something on the 18s throught momemt to stream it to the a6. The only way i managed to do it was through the ipad app beomusic but i want to do it through moment. Any thoughts and tips?
the "link" tab on the moment appears sometimes and when i press on it I can see the a6 but the only thing i can do is press on the a6 and then the a6 streams the music to the moment not the opposite
thank you
Hej Eprokos
The 'Expand screen' functionality you are looking for is not on the BeoSound Moment interface today. All the screens on the interface are about bringing music to your Moment. The Link screen appears when there is content playing in your BeoLink system that you can join and play on the Moment.
To play music on other products you either go to them and tap on the touch interface (touch to join). Or else use the app.
When developing we always need to making prioritisations with regards to what to work on next. The more people that request the Expand screen functionality via their dealer, the more likely we are to see this functionality in the future, but our team cannot make any promises, sorry.

Tap to join?
lets say i am on the living room streatimg eg deezer and then moving to the bedroom, what button do I have to press on the A6 so it can play whats already been playing in the moment?
There are many settings on the moment setup and also settings from the beosetup a6. What should I do with them? beolink settings.
Thank you for your prompt response

BS Moment, BS Core, BG 4002, BC 4500, BS1, BL18, BL19, BL8000 + RCV1, A6, M5, M3, A1, P6 (tks Botty), H5, TR1
Great! Thank you all for your help
hope in the near future it changes so as to be able to push from moment to all devices, cause i am thinking of 2 more a6 and be able to turn the music on with a simple click on the moment
i noticed that by pausing from moment it stops from a6, but by playing it doesn't start. Strange..
a huge +1 for adding expand capabilities to the Moment. The moment truly is a centralized music control system as it's the only one that can cull specific titles from your own content without the use of the BeoMusic app. I, for one, this that this functionality will truly make the Moment a better piece of kit. I understand that the wood side is is meant to be what the essence is (getting music you will like playing immediately) however in that vein of logic I should be able to get that same immediacy throughout my multilink ecosystem without having to pull out my phone or go to each location and manually link them. Additionally, once I flip the screen over and am given the ability to do more granular searching, I should also have the ability to (granularly) push music to any location.
I understand the trade-offs in creating great hardware and software solutions, however the moment at this point in time is more than mature and is only now getting the kind of attention it should have garnered years ago. While I'm encouraged with the new 2.0 software, I hope some of these other feature requests are considered/addressed.
and another +1 from me......couldn't have put it better myself......surely the biggest single request / possible improvement in the usefulness of the Moment any of the users seem to want......i hope when (?) it is implemented, there is the ability to set multi-room speaker groups (i.e. lounge + kitchen for ex)...that would be awesome.......
I am not sure that that would be a good idea?
The interface of the Jukebox/Moment is the control point for the BS Moment, either with the connected speakers or with the connected tv.
'the expand capacities' would kind of change it into a remote for the multiroom setup.
The question is, if it would complicate the UI of the device?
Being able to join-in to another stream on the network is a simple operation = one touch.
'Expanding....' would mean adding a whole new layer to the interface/new menus/a new screen - which maybe could compromise the simplicity/easiness/convenience of the BS Moment.
Adding the new/improved search functions has already changed the initial intention of the device = being a 'jukebox' with MoodWheel and PatternPlay as the primary functions.
I am sure the Moment team will have a hard time deciding whether this device should evolve into a universal remote for the B&O multiroom system (maybe even including video sources as well?) or not.
Just my thoughts - and another view on this subject.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
you're probably right, its perhaps not simple.....grafting the full functionality of the BeoMusic app onto the Moment though shouldn't be necessary......Moment users probably dont need to see the full list of connected sources (internal and network linked) on the tablet, thats overkill.....but being able to push out from the Moment seems like a relatively short step, leaving the phone app still useful for other use cases........
There is already a mechanism to link to other sources, it would be a simple update to expand that UI/UX paradigm to push music to other sources.
let's put on the table another scenario:
I am in bedroom, turning on A6. Moving then to the living room and through the link turning on moment and joining A6. So far so good.
Then I just want to turn off Moment, but by pressing the pause on the moment turns off also the A6!!! How can they by ungrouped without using the app??
have a great week full of sound :D

under the tablet where??
Seanie_230: Under the tablet there is a button to switch off only the moment when connected to the link systems

That is a mute button, right?
To the left on the sound hub when you have lifted the tablet.
Livingroom: BL3, BL11, BV11-46 Kitchen: Beosound 1 GVA, Beocom 2 Bathroom: M3 Homeoffice: M3, Beocom 2 Library: Beosound Emerge, Beocom 6000 Bedroom: M5, Essence remote Travel: Beoplay E8 2.0, Beoplay EQ, Beoplay Earset
yes, but this is the mute button, does it turn off the beolabs??

Since you are using the source of the A6, this will have to turn it off (too).
Wonder what the answer of the Moment team would be - can you have a 'tap to un-join'? How could that be realized?
Only workaround, I can imagine, is to change the output of the Moment to another source (one of it's own sources) and then turn it off.
This probably won't have any influence on the A6, and this should continue playing, I suppose.
What happens if you use a remote?
Short touch (of the standby button) should turn off the adressed device - long touch all devices on the network.
Quick brainstorming: the link tab on the moment could be always on, and just like the beomusic app to be able to remote control the a6, change the volume, group, ungroup, off / on, change source etc.. that would be true multiroom. Cause now we are kind of tied to our iphone / ipads etc.. it is only software issue
What if you have 5 or 6.....multiroom devices in your setup - that would complicate this?
Sure it is 'just' a matter of creating the UI and writing the software.
Maybe that could be made a function, that you could enable or not - depending on your needs/setup.
I would not advocate building too much into the interface of the Jukebox.
It must be as slick as possible - for those, who just want to 'flip a switch to listen to music'.
I wouldn't over complicate this......i completely agree we should be wary of cluttering the overall UI.......that said, a link tab already exists, so its more an issue of changing the options when you press that tab, to offer both directions.......anyway, i'm not holding my breath......the new iOS tab, whether beta or not, isnt very fully featured, though i like its look and feel and it appears fast when controlling volume, sources etc......
