Just download it. Seems fine. Lucky Bleutooth is only needed for setting up.
Waiting for ''update'' on the Moment...
Thanks - setting it up now, but 2 questions.
1...Cant seem to add my Beosystem 4......no problem with my A9 and BS2, but the Beosystem 4 isnt appearing, whereas it does in the BeoMusic App.....is this going to be added?
2...Also, will Music be updated to allow access to my local music on my iPhone (within the native iOS Music app) (not talking about Apple Music streaming service).......
Thanks for any guidance.
SB
I can't believe this app still doesn't have a shuffle or random feature for playlists. What a huge oversight and missed opportunity to make this app better than the previous BeoMusic app.
BTW it is not in beta as the iTunes Store does not allow any beta software..

The new iOS app Bang & Olufsen is now available as a BETA version from the Apple App Store.
Regards
Stuart
Where did you (and Sandyb) find that, please?
As Michael wrote - there is no 'beta software' in the app store.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
its in the regular App store.....searched for Bang & Olufsen on the App store on my iPhone, its there.......has the new icon, looks like a a cross / X....

There we go - it is an iPhone version!
Won't be there unless you (on an iPad) change to 'only iPhone'.
I am not going to change to fiddling with my iPhone when using my home setup just because of that - will wait untill a 'nomal' (!) 'iPad version' (or all) is there.
OK!
Thanks Stuart.
w5bno123: Products not yet supported: BeoVision TV's, BeoLink Convertor, Integrated Setups and BeoSound Essence MKI.

BeoVision TV's, BeoLink Convertor, Integrated Setups and BeoSound Essence MKI.
'BeoSound Essence MK1' - how may I understand that?
What will be supported there???
Just the setup, probably - or?

I found it very nice from B&O to give iOS users, exquisitely the opportunity to use the new Android beta music app.
With the same shortcomings, as within the beta Android version.
Where is the DLNA potential and again (arghh) that awfully queue where you loose all your TuneIn favorites behind numeric buttons with a remote, in using this app.
So tell me honest, why on earth launching a new iOs application, sister app of the Android's, that is not fully ready or compatible.
Regarding the unfinished BV14, Horizon, M5.... is this really now the new standard at the B&O house? Is this the new way to treat your buyers.
"Believe nothing you read and only half of what you see, let your ears tell you the truth."
I'm really so mad now....
You need two apps on Android to remote control all B&O stuff.
1) On Androids Beomusic you have no opportunity to control the M5 speaker.
2) Using the Androids new Bang Olufsen app, gives you no DLNA and shuffles all TuneIn favorites in the queue.
And today, installing Bang Olufsen app on the iPhone gives me no added value....
Hopefully we can keep the 'old' Beomusic app for a while....
....giving them time to sort things out.
That one works fine for me - I would not change, unless the 'new' is way better.
More problems:
They have a long way to go... At this point, I'll stick with the BeoMusic app at least until they offer proper input selection.
Just pulled this to my iMin
Basically not very good at all. Seems to be a combo of BeoSetup and BeoMusc Apps wth the elegance and grace of pushing a pea up Mt Everest with my nose.
I know B&O have software writing issues but this is setting new standards in ineptness. Really.

This is the first release of the new app and I like it very much. True, some important features a missing, but I am sure, that B&O will improve it soon. If they are working in an agile process, we might get updates in sprints now.
This would be great, so we can help to improve this app. And what I like so far, is the user interface. It is nice and clear. The user experience is good so far.
Hi guys
I'm a developer on the new Bang & Olufsen app, and I just wanted chip in and share as much info as I can at this point. This is our first iOS version and it has a very limited feature set but we're working hard to bring all the feature over from BeoMusic, so you don't need two apps. So yes for a while you need two apps and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
I can't give you exact dates since you will hold us to it :) I'll try to answer your questions inside beoworld whenever i have time.
Thanks
Thomas Andersen, Bang & Olufsen
Thanks very much for the post - i have used the official feedback to pose a few questions.
The look and feel of the new app is really good i think from playing with it today. Good to hear TV support and DLNA is coming soon...does this also include my local music within the iOS native Music app (not Apple's paid streaming)?
Thanks again for the post.
Sandeep.
+1 on thanking you for participating in the forum and giving us some clarity on the development side. I too have already submitted feedback.

So yes for a while you need two apps and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Currently we're working on TV support, All standby and DLNA and will release this very soon We will make a dedicated iPad app Cutting edge features like shuffle and repeat will come when we revamp the play queue ;) It is correct we cannot call it beta in the app store since it is not allowed. Internally we consider it beta until it hits 1.0 and is on par with the BeoMusic app We're working agile using scrum and will push new versions out as often as we can. Goal is once a month. Using the feedback option inside the app will send a ticket directly to the development team, so please use it. Good or bad. I can't give you exact dates since you will hold us to it :) I'll try to answer your questions inside beoworld whenever i have time. Thanks Thomas Andersen, Bang & Olufsen
Thanks Thomas,
very nice, that you and the team will keep us updated here.
Despite the (very) limited functionality, maybe we should see this as an opportunity to make the app better.
As long as the Beomusic app is still working for daily use, I am fine with it.
I am sure a lot of the app users will give you their feedback, whenever they have time to 'work' with the new app - now that they know that this is important for you.
Please bear with those of us, who aren't used to the/your new way of developing software.
We have been used to a traditional, sequential approach to product/app development from B&O.
I just posted a frustrated message on another thread regarding software. GREAT that you have moved to scrum and are reading the forum. SO WELCOME.
Please please please make sure the QA process works and releases are stable. More than new features B&O users (in my opinion) will go bezerk if things are not stable.
Welcome to the forum. Can't wait to see the result of your hard work
Thanks everyone for the welcome and for the feedback. It is much appriciated. As mentioened I will try to use this forum more frequently to keep you guys updated and answer questions that you might have.
Sandyb: Unfortunately playing from your phone will not be supported in the near future due to the complexity involving the various DRM solutions applied by different music services.
Millemissen: We're trying to change the way we build software to a modern agile approach. This is not done over night, but we're getting there.
phult: We're investing heavily in automated testing and monitoring to improve the quality of the apps we deliver. If bugs get out that impact the stability of the live app, we will move quickly to fix it. As quickly as the app store allows us to anyway.
Thanks for responding...just so i understand, in the current BeoMusic app, i can see my iOS Library as a source........is this not going to re-appear in the new app? Would seem a step backwards surely, and no quite on a par with the current app?
Thanks for engaging.
Sandyb:
The experience when playing music from your phone is very mixed. What happens is that the phone acts as a DLNA server and the target product plays from your phone. The problem is that it works with some music files and not with others and users can have both on their phone. We will not port it until we have clear picture of which music types we can support which we cannot. Is you music bought from iTunes if i might ask?
Despite that I am using an iPad, I did download the app.
I wanted to give a feedback after the first trials and errors (!), but this is practically impossible in the app.
The keyboard takes up almost half of the screen and it covers the field for the feedback - I can't see, what I am writing!
Do you have this problem on an iPhone as well?
N.B. My first impression of the layout = well, not impressed, I don't see a logic there;-(
After activating the Line-in function/connection, I could not find out how to get back to TuneIn/Radio.
I somehow managed - but I don't know how ;-(
@Thomas
May I ask - what is the purpose of making a 'new' app???
Why not just improve the 'old', which for the most part is working rather well!
Millemissen: what is the purpose of making a 'new' app??? Why not just improve the 'old', which for the most part is working rather well!

Actually a very good question.
The Beomusic app was a rather strange to use app for controlling your music, but once you get used it becomes easy and logical.
Only it was never really totally finished. DLNA playlists worked on iOS but not for Android users... No shuffle possibilities... and some more shortcomings.
Please don't try to reinvent the wheel on this, but take a good example on some other well known and good working music apps.
Thank you, Thomas for participating here! I'm no iOS user but I really appreciate Bang & Olufsen reading here and giving feedback to us, the infected Beovirus victims.
