Father-in-Law has a Beomaster 3000, ot is barely used and I want to hook the thing up. We are looking for a CD player to match the receiver. I have found a Bang & Olufsen Beosystem Beogram 4500 CD Player.. would this work with my existing system if I hook everything up?
Thanks
BG 4500 has 7-pin DIN connector, outermost pins are screw type and must be removed because your 3000 has 5-pin. Otherwise should be ok in tape/aux connetor.
Beware with pins DO NOT loose them. They are needed for remote operation.
blah-blah and photographs as needed
So, I just simply remove the extra pins? If I remove the pins, I will not be able to use the remote? Is there away to have remote operation with the 5-pin setup? Sorry if these are dumb questions.
No, there is no remote reciever in bg 4500. It is controlled via those pins by Beomaster witch have remote reciever(data link), like beomaster 4500, 5000, 6500... BM 3000 does not have that.
Hi Anthony and the BEO family,
I'm in the same situation as you. But I really don't know witch cd player will fit my BM 3000 best.
Is your Beogram 4500 match worked? Is it the same family as the BM3000? (I mean is it the same aluminium finish or it's different from the BM3000?)
Also, the BG4500 is the only one who can stand vertical on the wall right? is there a another item who can stand on the wall, fit the style of the BM3000 and be compatible?
Thanks!
