Hi,

I once again tried to bring my Beocom 2 to life.

about the Beocom2, seems to be MKI according to the picture I saw here from the HandSet contact plate.

9#9#9* INT brings:

HS 0049-1.3-1 200107131129

BS Wait

DSP Wait

Serial 15487769

date 230801

IPEI: 00506 0037368 5

The display says:

Information:

No contact with base.

As it was not charging anymore and the power supply case was brocken, I opened the powersupply.

The case is labeled 8V and 6V.

I've soldered a new cable to the 230V Input-contact.

The PS gives now 16V on one side and 12V on the other side.

Isn't this strange?

When BS is connected I get 14,5V and 9,6V

When BS is connected with a HS I get 9,8V and 8,5V

Might this be the reason why my HS can not connect the BS ?

Hi,

it is normal that the unregulated voltage is much higher without load.

Is your BS  the correct base for that HS or did you changed it?

In other words, did both worked already together?

There are two MK1 versions, one is not multibase able. There is a software update for the HS produced prior 2006.

I did never manage to get them to work together, I bought it second hand on ebay.

The BS has a serial-Nr sticker which has the same serial-Nr as the HS.

Does that mean they are both compatible?

May the HS log into the BS even when the BS is not connected to the phone line?

Is there a possibility to open the BS and check things inside?

The origin of the Beocom2 is Germany.

The RJ45 phone line plug has only 2 wires connected.

One of the ELKOs is also in bad shape

Inner view of the PS

thank's for your help.

I've just replaced the 2 capacitors from the powersupply as they were bursted.

Thid did not change anything on the HS connecting to the BS.

Is it possible to open the BS?

Hi,

did you purchased thm from different sellers?

If so, the dont work together unless you update the firmware to a newer multibase version.

And yes you can connect to the base even it is not connected to the line.

2 lines for germany is correct.

Did you tried a reset of your HS and then try to connect to the base again?

Base must be disconnected from mains  for a while then it is in connect mode.

Ralf

PS: Is it a real base or only a charger. Can you provide a photo of the base and powersupply?

purchased from same seller.

BS has the same Serial-Nr on the sticker then the HS in its menu.

How do you do a reset of the HS?

It's the base with the Y-cable for phone-line and power-supply.

Power supply is labeled for 2 voltages, 6V and 8V
