I haven't been able to figure out why very often when I select N.MUSIC in the BeoLink app it failed to connect to the BeoMaster 5. It keeps displaying "Connecting...", then "Could not connect, retrying..."

Sometimes, it works smoothly, but most of the time I get the unable to connect message.

Has anyone an idea what may be the problem?

Yes - my BS/BM5 goes to standby mode mode after 5-10 minutes (?) after last usage.

Light on BM5 turns from green to red.

Even if the BM5 is running, the N.MUSIC does not always connect. Must be something else than the power saving mode.

Fix ip address for BM5 ?

Are you using a Beo6 too? - If so, same problem?

Yes the IP is fix. The Beo6 remotes work and show the BM5 music content, but it takes quite some time before they connect.

Hello Griebel,

maybe you already fixed your issue; in any case, I can tell you my experience: I have had a lot of problems when the beolink app installed on my iphone tried to connect with the Beosound 5; the most part of the times it tred more and more, without get to connect.

I told about that with a PC technician, and he said that probably the connection did not work because the BS5 was too slow to answer; and that it was so slow due to the fragmentation of the files stored in the BM5.

I checked it out and found that the fragmentation rate was 97%, so I provided to install a defragmentation app and statred the process, that have been very long.

Now the fragmentation rate is about 1% and the connection is quick and safe.

Hope that my experience could be useful to you. Kind regards
