Hello...
Unfortunately my GF used my Beo4 as a trampoline... So now the LCD screen is broken.Good news : she didn't do that with the Beo6
Now I've got a little question : I've got the Beo4, I've found where to buy a new screen... So : is it easy to replace it myself (I'm used to repare some little electronic devices), or is it tricky, and recommended to ask a professional to do that?

... assuming you have the reqired tools to dismantle a Beo 4 and follow the instructions supplied with the sparepart replacing the display won't be a very complicated task.
@Chris : I know that approximately the full remote is hidden behind the Beo6 screen...
@Vienna : I've got the service manual, and the only tool seems to be a standard screwdriver (no torx implied), so I think that I will do the repair myself... Thanks!
The trickiest part is finding the last screw under the bar code sticker, unless you know about it
Keep everything clean and think before doing, and you'll be fine.

I had a failed Beo4 screen about 18 months ago (almost zero pixels). Had it replaced by a dealer while I waited. I didn't pay too much attention, but it was all done in about 5 minutes. Once the Beo4 was open it just looked like a simple pull-out and plug-in job. The only charge was for the part.
