Hi guys!

I think im in the market for a new TV and i would love to finally buy a Beovision.

My demands as is, are DVB-T2 MPEG4. The only smart tv app i use are PLEX which i understand is not ported to B&O anyway. So i will be using a Chromecast for PLEX.

Besides that i am looking for a TV in ~46-55"

Right now im debating whether to wait for the new OLED TV's, buy new right now or buy used.

I love the look of Beovision 10/11/14 which is why i am not looking for Avant tv's.
I can understand that the 10 is an old picture engine which is why the 11 is far superior to that.
As i honestly don't think i will want to spend 6000€+ on a TV this leads me to:
Used 11 46 vs. new Hz 48 vs. wait for the OLED.
The OLED TV's will probably also be 6000€+ but i hope that it will drop the prices on used 14's so they will be within my pricerange.

Last but not least B&O offers interest free financing on new producst which is a plus for me - again pointing me towards the Hz 48 :)

This is some prices from today converted to €
Used:
10 46: 2600€
11 46: 3500€
Avant 55: 5300€ (Not NG)

New:
Hz 48: 4500€
11 46: 5000€
14 55: 8000€

If you absolutely have to get something newish, I'd get an 11.

I'm moving soon so our 7-55 will have to go, but I'd rather make our 5-42 the main television until the OLEDs come some time next year, than get a 14 or Avant which I feel will look like a half way house very soon i.e.

Wait for the OLED, and get an 8-40 as a future bedroom Tv. I think it's sound is still one of the best. Excellent vocals and bass.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

Whatever you choose, there will always be drawbacks to it!

If your financial situation will allow for it, wait for the OLED-BV (they won't come cheap!) and maybe buy the BV8-40 (alternatively the BV10) as an in between solution - just as Chris suggests.

However, if you dislike the BV8 (and the BV10 is too 'old') and the costs for the OLED-BV will be too high for you, pick a preloved BV11.

This is a tv, that can serve you well for several years to come.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

The 8-40 is not big enough due to distance. I think i'll have to measure once more. But i get what you mean about using it until the OLED's comes.
Right now i have a 50" Samsung (which is getting old and tired) and due to the distance from the TV to our Sofa 40" will simply be to small for my eyes

Come to think of it the solution for me is to wait for the OLED to arrive and then put some money into a used 11-55 instead of 11-46.

The Samsung is on its way to repair. If i can get a year more out of it that would be great.

Go for a Beovision 11 and stay away from Beovision 14 and Horizon.

With the Beovision 11 you can wait relaxed and see what LG produces for B&O while enjoying the last real B&O TV in all its beauty.

I had a 10-40 and now a 11-46. The 11 is so much better than the 10 that's it's unfair for the 10.

So put your Samsung in the bin (recycled !) and go for a 11, you won't regret it.

Try to find a MK2 with Wisa, easy access panel and Made in Denmark sticker.
