So, I noticed something odd today. My current pair of headphones are the H9's (though I don't think it's actually that relevant here). Needless to say, the ear cup seals are quite good. However, in the right ear, if I were to push on the cup against my head slightly, I can hear the plastic driver 'crinkle'.

Anyway, aside from my curiosity as to whether others have noticed this as well, it slightly worries me that the driver will get damaged over time, since I notice the crinkling sound whenever adjusting the headphones, or if I happen to press slightly harder than usual whenever using the touch controls.

Oddly enough, the left driver seems to have been made perfectly, and I don't hear any crinkling despite depressing the left cup against my head.

I don't know what the drivers are actually made out of, but if they crinkle due to regular pressure changes from standard use, I assume they could develop creases over time, and therefore developing distortion.
