Hello everyone,

when you press the red dot and the centre button on a beo6 you get into the setup menu. Under config you can find two option, Default and Custom. In the default mode beo6 seems to be transmitting beo4 type codes whereas in the custom mode it transmits a different kind. What I mean with beo4 type codes is that it controls the product the same way a beo4 would control it.

Does anyone know why?

Default mode:
Standard B&O controls for a few things

Custom mode:
fully customized and programmed mode to control the defined (by configuration software) products the customer has. In that mode it can even control 3rd party products - which was not well published by B&O. This mode needs programming through the configuration software. Otherwise it's not really usable.

Thank you for the reply. I programmed my beo6 using the configuration tool but when I use beo5 commands (they look like F17:IRA1V:EE:TV) the lintronic tt455rt238 does not send any commands to my stb. When I switch to default mode or use beo4 commands (they look like 0:000:TV:SAT) the commands from the beo6 are "translated" and transmitted to my stb by the tt455rt238.

Any thoughts? :-)

Just use Beo4 commands.

What is ment by Custom and Default mode, are just the buttons available in the Beo5/6 screen, not anything regarding the IR protocol and such. Dont actually know what the Beo5 commands are used for, I never use them.

Thanks for the help. The only problem is that newer models like V1 or Avant etc they are loaded by the configuration tool with the F17:etc commands and you have to switch the manually. Other than that it works fine.

Thanks again :-)
