I've just picked up my latest addition a Beomaster 2000 but what veneer is it?!
It doesn't look like teak or rosewood but I can't find any reference to an oak veneer version on the product page (or on Beocentral) - the label on the back says E4 SL2.
If anyone can shed some light I'd be grateful!
Yes, it is an oak Version of BM2000, rare and very nice.
The E on the sticker is for "Eg" = oak (as P is for palisander or T for teak).

Ahh - thank you all!
I used to have one in teak and used a touch of Danish oil on it from time to time but what is the best method of maintaining the oak veneer? I love the paler wood colour!
Thanks
David

Mine too, I have been searching for one on the US bay for about 3 years now, but no such luck, seams like very few was sold in the USA, bringing one from DK will be a struggle, last time I tried to bring something that big, my suitcase disappeared never to be seen again,
Thank you for the nice pics Martin
Here an article about treatment of light oak and here a video about it
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Thank you for the advice Søren - I just need to find some of that soap in the UK now!
Very happy with the soap finish - would recommend it to anyone with oak products!

Stunning!
Cheers Henrik!

That looks great, well done. Soap finished oak looks very nice and is very popular in Denmark. Only Real drawback is that it's very sensitiv to grease, so it can be high maintenance.
I'm sorry I didn't see this post before now as would gladly have supplied you with a very good ready for use product that we use at work (still will if you have more projects).
Thanks Kromer - I had to get my brother-in-law to send me some soap flakes from Poland as they don't sell them readily in the UK any more!
