My Beomaster 4000 has only 'spade & pin' speaker output sockets.

Is it possible to connect the Beomaster 4000 to a pair of Beolab 18s using the Beomaster 4000 spade & pin speaker outputs with two speaker cables ( L/R) each terminating in a phono/RCA connector to plug into the Beolab 18s?

I realise that I will still have to provide a dedicated mains input power source to each of the Beolabs.

Yes,but you will need to use screened cable to avoid hum pick up,and some sort of attenuation will be necessary to step down the signal levels too.

I think Steve at Sound's Heavenly has an adaptor kit to do this?

It's not ideal,as you will be amplifying noise from the BM4000 output stage, but it will certainly work, and when set to auto, the BL18's will switch on with the BM4000.
