Hi All,
I am relatively new to the Beo World, but i love the design and quality of B&O.
I currently have the following set up
Beomaster 1100, beovox 1200, and a lenco B55 record player. I would love a beogram, but I can't justify it because of the cost of the replacement stylus'
I am mostly using the setup for playing vinyl, but also for watching movies with a projector and occasionally for Spotify (or listening to Derby County :p on the radio) through the laptop.
Can you help me with some questions:
- I also have recently gotten hold of a Beomaster 3000 from the mid 70's, would this be better than the Beomaster 1100? I understand the 3000 should be a higher end model, its also more attractive, but its also a bit older. I have tried playing both, but I am struggling to decide.
-the beomaster 3000 seems a little faulty, the loud switch crackles, and when its switched off, the sound is very very thin, but it is a bit overpowering to listen with the loud switch on all the time. Also the bass slider pops and crackles when you touch or move it. Is this easy to fix?
- Can you advise me about the speakers? I understand that the beovox 1200 are a relatively simple model, but is it worth investing in something better with the set up i have, or would it be overkill to get better speakers with the set up i have? Any suggestions?
Thanks for reading, any guidance will be much appreciated.
Daniel
