Hi chaps- brand new member here, this being my first post / question. We have recently had our new beovision 14 updated with the latest software which has enabled multiroom. We have numerous wired B&O link speakers dotted around e house a wired masterlink which was installed many years ago. Attached to the 14 is a chrome cast and Apple TV. We can now 'chome cast / Apple TV' music via our iPhones etc around the home but cannot watch TV at the same time as when we try this it switches the link speakers to the TV source. On our old Avant (CRT) this wasn't a problem - we could even listen to DVD via a link speaker and watch the TV in the lounge. Does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks chaps..

There are many, who would want the guys in Struer to work on this.

Did you post this 'issue' to Beocare as a question/a request?

And welcome to Beoworld, by the way.

Hi, thanks for the kind welcome. Yes I have sent an email to beocare but thought I'd try you guys as well. I take from your reply that I'm not doing anything wrong, it's just not possible !! If that's the case, it's such a backward step!!! The TV it self is fab but not to have this available is a real pain!! We may as well just purchase some stand alone wireless speakers!!

One NL-device however, somewhere on your network could be a 'workaround'.

And you don't have a ML-audiosystem/master in your setup?

-----

This is a real problem for many users with an alredy good working ML-structure in the house - and has been since the change from analog ML to digital NL.

IMO the NL-tv's must (!) learn to handle a source internally and at the same time be able to distribute a source on the NL. Com'on you guys in Struer - teach them to do so ;)

When we are at it - it would be nice to hear from other users:

Is it something that you miss too?

Or is it just the two of us?

HI

I have the same issue with my BV11, I often listen to netradio from the tv in the living room on my Masterlink system in the office, but In the same moment My wife turns the tv tuner on the music stops and all I hear is the  sound from e.g. Some kind of terrible cooking program.

@BandAl

In this case a CCA or a AirPort Express/a Playmaker connected to the A.Aux-in of the 9000, could make it possible to listen to music on the ML - and watch tv at the same time.

Cheers for the heads up, however the 9000 is hanging very neatly on the wall with all cables completely hidden (we had ML cables installed at the build stage of our house). I only hope it's some sort of software upgrade that's required as without this we may well brand switch !!

Before 'brandswitching', I would connect the small ChromeCastAudio-dongle to the BC9000.

That should not be too complicated ;-)

P.S. From which brand would you think, you can get a similar or better overall performance, than from your current setup?

Ok, wait a minute!

You have a NL/ML Converter in the setup.

The converter has a line-in connection.

This can be used for a CCA, Playmaker.... - and it will be an easy task to connect it, since the converter probably is hidden away somewhere where you also have access to a power outlet.

Using it in the setup, however will require a (re)configuration of the converter.

Good question re the brand change - dont really know if I'm honest- I guess I was just venting frustration !! It can't be that difficult a problem to solve.. I need help re your answer though as I'm not to switched on re the workarounds
