Hi all,

Is there any info about the launch date for the coming BeoPlay P2?

If the sound is OK it's a real bargain and perfect size for a small suitcase!

We have yet to know - it probably is what it is.

I suppose, that they can stand up for what they make at BeoPlay

Rather have people buy this, than some other similar priced BT speaker.

The pic is from a public website - something that you can easily find searching the web ;-)))

Big Smile black, sand stone, and royal blue... Nice colors. But no technical description yet.

It's a different angle on what the A1 is and does. And considering it's £50 cheaper, it'll be hard to beat.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

It's called the P2. So it wouldn't be unreasonable to suspect their may be P1 some point. Even smaller and lower price point.......

What does the P signify in the name as opposed to A or M ?

Beo Century ,Beoplay V1, Beocenter 6, Ex-Beolit 12, Beotime , A8. Beolit 15 , Form 2i , Beolab 2000, Beoplay A3.Beosound 1

Seems that A is over!

M for moveable - P for portable....perhaps?

I thought P stood for Puncher because they've removed every trace of bass. Wink

You mean after a punchy request for less bassy devices.

Hi folks,

I know that B&O has never followed a simple and easily understandable path for their product naming... but why on hearth would the P2 be a portable speaker when the P3 is a set of earphones?

For me the P2 is just another set of earphones... As the headphone line is quite huge now, they start to grow the earphone line which is tooo small ;-)

Ok, shame on me, I mixed the B&W P3 with B&O H3... The P3 FCC scheme looks like a B&O copy of an A2 copy we already saw somewhere...

Introduction should be not to far away. Some pictures already on the internet:

B&O Bluetooth Lautsprecher Beoplay P2 royal blue

B&O Bluetooth Lautsprecher Beoplay P2 royal blue

B&O Bluetooth Lautsprecher Beoplay P2 royal blue

The strange thing is, why all of this information is already available while B&O hasn't introduced the product yet. Probably it has to do with quick delivery after a product launch. This feels like a 'wrong' planning to me. Although I like the product itself :-)

I like! I was going to get a second A1 to leave around the house, and take my current A1 with me on trips... but I might just leave my current A1 around the house and get a P2 for the 'outside' world - as it seems better suited for that kind of use (at least from impressions of the photos).

The dimensions are close to the size of an iPhone 7. This is perfect for travelling. I'm curious to listen to it. I hope they did again a nice job like for the A1.

let's hope this time it's more usable than the A1. The buttons on the A1 are a joke.

I'd put money that it's a plastic fret with a 'polymer' base - sort of combo A1-A2 build.

I agree that the buttons on the A1 are cumbersome, but the only button I press is the power button - and that's just to turn it on, since it turns off by itself anyway. I don't understand why you would use the buttons on the A1 enough for them to be an annoyance. Just use your source to change the volume, pick up calls, etc. It's not like you can use the A1 to switch tracks and what not. And why you would have the A1 with you, and the source on the other side of the room is beyond me.

OK, getting a little off topic there,...

I'd also put money that they put actual buttons on the P2 like they did on the H4. I think it would be nice if it also had a replaceable battery though... and with USB-C maybe?

One A1 is placed in the kitchen with a line-in cable. The source is not in the kitchen so there's no other way to change volume IN the kitchen.
The Beoplay A2 is much better in this case.

Back to topic: Let's wait and see what the P2 will be. As it's a standard Made in China Beoplay product it should easily be possible to produce it with an aluminium fret. Hope the blue is nice when I see it live.

Beoplay A2 ocean blue is not bright enough for me.

Amazone.de cites April 27th for availability. Looks like aluminium and USB-C to me.

"Shake" or "Tap" to use "smart features"? I think the A1 button struggle will continue.

I wonder how what the B&O Play guys think about a review from a B&O dealer of a not yet released products think?

In my findings it will be released and available on friday this week.

That said - if this is the way, that the P2 will/should work, I'll stick to my A2 ;-)

Sorry - I meant to write next week (on the 28th).

That is the day, that was mentioned previously on Amazon.

By the way - the review and advertisement of the P2 on the CH B&O site (see above) seems to have disapeared!

And so is the advertisement on the hifiheadphones.ca site.

I'm wondering if it can get close in sound to the already small A1 which I find really impressive for it's size.
