I was in the process of putting a new tonearm carriage on the table. Then suddenly noticed that the gold colored flat ribbon cable had become disconnected from the tonearm. It is a clean break. I can't see specificly where the cable reconnects. More importantly when I find where the connection is, am I going to be able to get it reconnected?  I'm hoping this is an easy fix. However, I'm not going to hold my breath. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The ribbon cable is glued and soldered at both ends. No plugs or connectors.
It's very brittle and won't take any stress.
Yours is torn and will have to be replaced.

Thanks Martin!

When you say replaced...... Does that mean glued, and soldered back on? Or a new tonearm, with the label attached?

A replacement cable with the metal holder and solder pads etc.

Look and feel, its all in plain view right before you.
