Hi!
I am not an expert on BLC, but try with something like this:
App Settings:
- Friendly name: BeoSound 5
- Product icon: BeoSound 5
- Product controlled by Apps: ML AudioMaster
MasterLink:
- ML enabled: checked!
- ML role: Video Master
Sources visible on ML:
- You should use some VIDEO sources as "ML Source" and map them to your TV sources.
Experience mapped to NL:
- You should be able to select CD and Radio after you changed the ML role.
Best.-
Sorry no luck with these settings either, anybody else who has more experience with the BLC NL/ML?
try this setup. works well with my comparable combo (ML audio source, NL-TV)
Wohnzimmer: BeoVision Avant 55", BeoLab 11, 12-2 und 12-3 für 5.1-Sound + appleTV 4K und Philips BluRay-Player; BeoSound 2, BeoSound 3000 (fast nur noch Deko)////Schlafzimmer: BeoEssence MkII, BeoLab 4000 + Samsung 46"-TV////Büro: BLC NL/ML, BeoSound 35, Thorens TD320MkII, Samsung 32"-TV, WesternDigital 4TB-Server////Bad: BeoLab 2000; alles CAT7 verkabelt////Küche: M5 (drahtlos) plus diverse apple-Geräte (imac, macbook, ipads, iphones, timecapsule, watch)

Born in NL; I ride ML
I`m also a newbie to BLC NL/ML. I just read the manual and got my first BLC a few days ago. But as I can see, a setting with a ML role as audio- or videomaster can`t work, because you have already a BV9 master and a BS5 master.
And there are some points, that I don`t understand with your setup.
- you have a BS5 in A.OPT 1 set to audiomaster, but no Beolabs connected...? can`t work - or did mean A.OPT 0?
- You have a full cinema setup in your livingroom and an additional BL passive in L.OPT 5? may result in conflicts with ir commands...?
- Your ir setting is set to OPT 4 - why?
- are you using the BLC with an ir eye?
- Can you elobarate a bit more, what doesn`t work?

Hi Stefan
There where a few minor errors in the picture of my setup, below you find the correct setup. In principle I have a perfectly working ML system. Just recently I added the BLC NL/ML converter with no speakers attached and the BeoVision Horizon.
All I want is distribute the sound of the Horizon to the BeoLab 4000's, which are connected to BeoSound 5 and both are in the same room.
Also I want to the sound of the BeoSound 5 distributed to the Horizon and if possible also the interface displayed on the screen of the Horizon. All these things were promised by B&O when the Horizon was introduced months ago.
Not an expert by any means and this is a complicated setup.
First problem you have is to define if you want a NL setup or a ML setup? I don't think you can have both i.e a master-master.
From your schematic, it is not clear where the NLML converter sits?
My initial view is to connect the Horizon (NL) to the converter and use it as virtual ML linked product. This however may not give you control of the BS5 through the Horizon.
You could make the BS5 ML to converter to Horizon and run it through the NL system, with a spiced ML to the rest of the ML system. Problem here may be the control.
Im thinking the only way to fully control the system is that all products have their own NLML converter on a N L network. But that is a very costly excercise. Maybe your Dealer can help on the config?
First of all wv02447 I must say what a brilliant documentation of your system, with your effort not only do you deserve all of our help and support here on BeoWorld, but what an example to other users of this forum who require assistance.
Just a quick observation, assumimg that the black lines show ML cable connections and red show ethernet connections is it right in saying there show be no black line between the Beosound 5 and the Horizon? Also is your gateway the old MLGW or the new Beolink gateway? I am assuming it is the new blgw from your screenshots.
AFAIK and I would love to be corrected. The only way you can have visual "feedback" of the content of the BS5 on a NL TV is via the HOMEMEDIA function, therefore you are using the horizon to render the content of the BS5 via ethernet, therefore negating the need for the MN/NL converter in this case.
... to have visual feed back via the beolink app of BS5 sources should be possible now you have the BLGW...
or should it not?
I have the new BLGW, which gives me of course visual feedback, on my iPad but it would also be nice to have visual feedback on the screen of the Horizon. This is what integration is all about and what B&O differs from the rest. According to B&O visual feedback of BeoSound should be possible on NL video products, only I don't have any visual feedback of ML sources on my NL video source at the moment.
Here's an example of the visual feedback on my iPad via BLGW:
I have a perfectly working ML system and with the BeoLink Converter NL/ML I should be possible to integrate the NL network with the ML network and vice versa. So I want the best of both integrated.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there

Hi,
I have a question: If you try this with the BeoLink2 App - do you still see the covers / Content (visual feedback) of your BeoSound5?
Thanks for a short answer, because I go crazy, while mine does not show anything...
Best regards

BeoLink is still to much Beta, so no visual feedback from BeoSound 5 and you problably know already, software is not B&O's strongest selling point.
That`s exactly what i think - create a linkstation for the kitchen - set BLC to A.Slave with BL4000s connected to BLC instead of BS5. Set BS5 to A.OPT 0, BLC to OPT 2. Now you should be able to control all ML devices with BL4000 sound in that zone, and you should be able to control the NL-BV connected to BLC again with sound on BL4000s (?).
NB: If you set your BS5 to A.OPT 0 , it will turn on the BV9 Beolabs, when you control BS5 directly.
BTW: BM5 has a second video output (DVI) for a BV. Did you try to connect it to the Horizon?

unfortunately it won`t be in sync with ML devices...:(

Only if you connect speakers to the NL convertor.
That`s what we talk about...
@DocLeisure, @wv02447, Does the latest version of the BeoLink 2 application fix the visual feedback for the BeoMaster5 on you setup?
Hi fedenunez,
unfortunately not...
