Hi. I bought a beolab 2 to go with my beolab 8000's and found it didn't work. So I had a new driver unitl fitted - and it sounds really good with the 8000's. BUT - twice in the last 10 or so days it has blown the 3 amp fuse. Is this normal? Or should it be a 5 amp fuse? It wasn't even loud music - just went.

Also, while it sounds great with some music - there is one track in particular (a track from the musical "Cabaret") where the treble is SO quiet that it is almost missing (the track which goes "fiddly diddly dee, 2 ladies"!) Most odd.

Thanks in advance.

Andrew,

Never go over the rated fuse capacity otherwise you will damage the amp or spreakers or both.

If you are blowing fuses, that means you have something which isn't running right.

Try another set of speakers a see if you are still blowing fuses.  If you do, you must check the amplifier side, if not, check the crossovers capacitors.
