Hello all

Some advice please, I want a tv for my spare room.

Needs to have ML so I can send music to it and the main room picture.

Must be as cheap as possible as it might only get used like once or twice a month

Should be able to control a sky digibox via the stb controller

Widescreen is a preference but not a huge request as CRT is ok too.

Any ideas?

mx7000 is it up to date enought

Mx8000 Any good

I dot really want to spend

Los on a beovision 6

Eclipse 65
V1-32
Beosound M5
Essence MK2
BLI

The best of your suggestions may be the MX 8000, as you can change the picture Format (aspect) between 4:3 and 16:9.

The cheapest is the MX 7000 -but the sw is not as up to date. Don't know if it's a problem using stb controller, though...Hmm

BV1 is still a nice cheap little buy :)   Even Trevor Nelson has one in his bedroom Seanie!

BV6 is a truly beautiful little unit Seanie if you one get one cheap - I think they are around £600  very very nice sound quality & classy picture if looked at directly.

BV1 or BC1 version with DVD CD and radio are now remarkably cheap. Get one on a tall pole stand (reduced to suit ceiling height if necessary).

It's an iconic piece of B&O and has that great presence when turned off that David Lewis aimed for with all his designs.

Hay there. I have a bv3 in my bedroom but they are far to big.

Needs to be something smaller I think, no bv1's on eBay cheap at the moment but one of those with a ML and STB would be excellent I think.

What about a MX4200?

Has the option to change the picture format (4:3/16:9)

Watch out though, I believe they all have a masterlink socket fitted but not all have the masterlink circuit board. (I remember seeing a previous post about this).

Adrian.

PS I think you're spoiling your guestsSmile
