anyone has a left hinge  (actually the infamous black plastic part which always breaks) left over from a CDX or CD3300 ?

Or maybe someone has a source of a spare/3D print option...

the left hinge is the one not on the motor side but with the long spring attached.

Thanks for any info..

No, but I am also in the hunt for a left CDX hinge part. :)

The hinge can be repaired.
Chris showed how to a couple of years ago.

I followed his repair instructions on a CDX hinge of mine back in 2011 (wow, that was a long time ago). The repair solution is brilliant and I still use my CDX with the repair today. The only issue I ran into is when the lid closes my CDX isn't always registering that everything is locked in place and ready to play. A couple of seconds after the lid closes I have to gentle press down on the left side of the lid until I hear the CDX lock in and start playing. I have tried adjusting the screw for that closed position but could never get it to a setting that works consistently. It plays really well though and I haven't been motivated enough to tear back into it. Something for a future project if I ever get caught up with my current backlog. I always liked the look of the CDX.

- Perhaps because the motor continues to run for a bit after the lid has closed, so it opens slightly again?
If so, replace the capacitor on the small motor control board. (It's on the backside of the board in some versions).

Thanks, I will open the CDX up and check that out...once I return from the analog domain. I got myself engulfed in several Bang & Olufsen analog era audio projects so I am trying to work my way back to the surface.
