The latest software is 2.21.This can be changed by replacing the softwarechip.
Other softwareversions for motorcontrol and ml-board comes with the boards itself. You can't update these.
Is it the 27C4001 ?
Do you have the part number (for the latest version) to order or better does anybody has the file .hex or .bin ???
the 27C4001 is the EPROM but you have to get one with the correct speed! I'm not sure but i think you need a 55ns one. Those are very very rare! i only found 70ns or 90ns chips when searching for them. The 27C040 is the same.
You cant't use a Flash PROM (28F4001 for example) because two pins are swaped (PIN 1 and PIN 31 (?)) .
Firmware 2.21 allows you to select N.MUSIC and N.RADIO (Beomedia 1 and BeoMedia 5) but it doesn't give you A.OPT 4,5,6
The order nr. for the Upgrade Chip is 83444087
When i upgraded my BS9000 i made a copy of the chip but as told before the available chips are to slow! The µp runs at 16 MHz and gets its instructions from the fast (OT) EPROM.
