I need to buy a simple not so expensive RIAA preamp but they are all som clumsy and/or ugly! And all of them come with unnecessarily (?) big power adapters.
So can someone recommend unexpensive, minimalistic RIAA preamp, maybe USB-powered (then I can use one of my phone chargers that are much "sleeker" than the average generic power adapter)?
Try a QED Disksaver and use it on batteries rather than a power adapter.
Beoaus.
I found this

Seem to be "good enough" for my purpose. Reasonably small, USB-powered and not an ugly cheap black metal box (no, it is not exactly good looking but compared to the other options available it is at least not ugly).
Talking about good looking and a reasonable price - then this might be the one... But... of course it needs an external (maybe ugly)power supply... 😉
