Can a Beocenter 8000, control a Beogram 8000?

if you have an appropriate cable can the Beocenter 8000 make the Beogram 8000 start and stop?

Now you don't see many Beocenter 8000s around! But the answer is yes - it will operate a Beogram 8000 - you can stop and start it and advance and retreat the arm by remote. It will operate any of the Datalink fitted turntables but has a built in RIAA so only use those decks without one fitted. The 8000 will be fine.

The Beocenter 8000 was interesting as it was a stripped out 8500, itself a stripped out 9500. I don't think I have ever seen one so good to know at least one is still in use!

I have one as well. Nothing wrong with it as long as you don't need Powerlink. Frankly I also find the dark gray panels better looking than the brushed aluminium panels on a 9000.
