hi, recently found an original 5 pin din cable to get my 1000 connected to the beomaster. Everything seems to connect up fine, sound from the speakers when in radio fm mode, a little hum from the speakers as the volume is adjusted when in beogram mode, motor works at all speeds etc so all looking good however when I try to play anything there's nothing. Does this sound like an issue with the stylus or even if it's damaged should I be at least getting something? Seems to be no response at all from it
Check the wires from stylus/tonearm to 5 pin din plug
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Seems after checking a few photos online that I have no short circuit plate. I'm guessing all 1000s should have one of these as it seems on closer inspection the wires don't seem to connect through din to stylus arm
That was for the RIAA - probably relatively simple to jury rig that.
