Hi,the obtrusive Beovirus is bothering me again... and currently he likes a Beocenter 8500, too. Are the grey covers on the Beocenter 8500 made of metal or is it plastic? Does anybody have a good photo of a Beocenter 8500 to see the grey color? As far as I know it lacks two way infrared, too, right?
Hi TWG,
The 8500 covers are matt grey metal, very "1980's"! I have the matching Beomaster 3500 at home, personally I love it but it is very much a matter of taste.....
Beocenter 8500 does only have 1 way remote control. I think only the "stacking" Beomasters (eg. 5500, 6500, 7000) had 2 way remote control. I found the 2 way remotes quite annoying, which was why I sold my 6500 system (the MCP remotes keep reporting "No Signal" when the batteries go flat or the range is too far).
Kind regards, Steve.

The Beocenter 9500 had 2 way remote control via Beolink 5000 or 7000 remotes.

Thanks Graham!
The BeoSound 2500 and early Beosound 2300 were also 2-Way capable
