Hi all,
I recently found a BeoMedia 1 at a bargain price. Unfortunately there was no PSU to go along with it.
I have tried to use this AC adaptor because I already owned it:

The BeoMedia turns on but there is no signal via VGA or RCA. Does the BeoMedia 1 need exactely 12V 50w?
Hope anyone can help me
Best regards,
Frederik

The first psu's supplied with the BM1 were 50W. The newer better versions are a bit smaller sized and 60 W.
A psu from eg. an external harddrive (12v, 2A) isn't sufficient.
You have to start the BM1 by pushing once on the powerbutton on the back. Then the BM1 starts like an normal computer and beeps once.
There has to be a " Bang and Olufsen" screen after booting. The first screen is a low resolution screen with the options for normal booting or restoring the harddrive.
Thanks for the answer. I don't hear any beeping sound from the device. The small green lamp on the back just lights up and I can feel air from the fan. There is a switch on the back but no matter how many times I switch it on and off there is no "beep".
