ok ok ok i know its just a soundbar, and its not intended for TV etc

But

i bought it while i was drunk and under strong competition at a recent charity auction, because it looks cool as *** (brass finish) and i was actually shopping for a soundbar

so  i need to know how i can make this happen.

i have an LG 42inch smart tv but for whatever reason they just dont talk to each other via audio optical.

can some B&O fan please tell me the solution, without giving me brain damage for buying a soundbar and using it for something that its not.

thanks!

take a look at the soundsettings of your TV

Although it is great to offer help via a PM, I am sure, that a lot of the Beoworlders (some with similar questions) would prefer being able to read tips and answers here.

After all this is what the forum is about.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Are you saying there is a delay? or it is not working at all as the speaker of your LG TV?

delay can be removed definitely. You need to switch also the Beosound 35 in OPTICAL mode for you to be able to you it as speaker of the TV.

ok so i plugged audio optical from tv - BS35 - didnt work - tried everything - settings on both, new cables, all i got was the weird ugly constant sound

then i tried xbox one to BS35 - and i got a massive delay in audio/visual sync - which sucked

is a DAC the solution here?

Simply connect the cable (RCA or OPTICAL cable depending on which source is used) between the
source and the BeoSound 35.
Start and control the third party source locally (or via its remote) and select ‘Line in’ or ‘OPTICAL’ on
BeoSound 35 and control the volume on the BeoSound 35 itself or via BeoMusic app / BeoRemote One.
If BeoSound 35  is used as a speaker for a TV, the latency on RCA or OPTICAL must be deactivated to avoid lip-sync issues. This is done via the BeoSetup app.

years ago, my first time with an optical cable, i've simply overseen the nearly invisible protective cap.

btw, in the Setup-app the sensitivity just controls the autostart and has no impact on the sound-level

Tho again all all - seem so I'm only having trouble with HD free to air channels now Problem is that the sound cuts to a crazy loud washed out sound Xbox Andrew media player and music all work fine, just the TV HD channels - any suggestions?
