I waited 2 weeks for the chance to take the ferry over to the mainland to buy a pair of M75 speakers.
Renewed the frets and took the woofers and mid-ranges to a local shop for re-foaming, and still waiting for parts now 3 more weeks. But it will happen.
However the seller broke one of the fret cover pins off and I am wondering what to do about this. Surely this must have come up, even when these speakers were new.
I am concerned that epoxy will not be strong enough to keep the pin from breaking immediately.
I thought about drilling the pin, but it is SO thin I don't see how I could make that work.
So what can I do?

I can make you one or here
Hi Soren,
The part looks VERY much like the one at BeoParts, so I asked how much they wanted with shipping here.
I probably could get by sans this part, but you know me, I really like things to be right.
Annoyed me no end when the seller, knowing nada about her speakers insisted on yanking off the grills and snapped the pin off.
If BeoParts no longer has this part, to be sure, I'll let you know.
Off subject, but the Beolab continues to impress on a daily basis. A truly amazing amp. Got the "correct" antenna for the BM 5000 and it was terrible. Looked nice, sounded bad. Then spotted a T-antenna with the correct plug, and bingo! I left the "correct" antenna in place (for show) but use the wire antenna to bring in my favourite classical station in Seattle.
Back on point, we'll see if BeoParts has the pin. Maybe someone else does as well. If not, I know how good you are at making things..... first hand!
Beoparts is our very good friend Martin
Very good friend indeed!
Martin has the part and will send it shortly, BUT thank you for the offer to make me one, much appreciated, as always.
I didn't know it was Martin until I paid him via PayPal and the notification came back with his full name.
This Beopurchase was torture as I needed to wait for 2 weeks before taking the long ferry ride to Vancouver. With 2.4M people, and a selling price of $200 I was was like a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs concerned that someone would scoop them up before I could get there.
Then the seller just HAD to show me the speakers and broke off the 1 post. Grrrr. At least I stopped her before she did the same to the other speaker.
Then, as you know, I found 1 speaker dead and that was really disappointing. Followed by this; I couldn't, for the life of me, get in the back to check the relay and cross-over network.
BeoWorld to the rescue and I was told to go in from the woofer hole and POUND on the back panel. I never would have done that if not told it was OK.
The pounding, you also know, reset the over-ride protection circuit. Fingers crossed that it stays that way.
Lastly, my local shop that did my MC120.2 speaker re-foaming said they had the parts. They didn't. Then grumbled about shipping costs..... so they waited for a "big enough" order to make it worthwhile to them. I get that, but that has taken another 3 weeks..... and I still have no idea what they sound like.
I would have thought that as I got older I would grow more patient..... hasn't really worked out that way.
Thanks for your interest and your help!
Wrote a long replay to your post, the server told me "down" pressed return and answer gone, this happens too frequently now a days, slowly I amm getting tired of this

For once I have a solution for you.(Usually it is you helping me.)
This has happened to me too, and when you put good time in, it is FRUSTRATING in the extreme! Uggggh!
However, I have a remedy.
Write all you want but BEFORE posting copy the entire piece (in memory) then post. If it disappears, as it has countless times with me, just press control "V" and it is back. 9 times out of 10 times it will go through the second time.
Once I had to do this 3 times, but at least you don't lose your message.
Now I am real curious as to what you tried to send me. "Inquiring minds want to know."
THIS IS MY FOURTH TRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good advise never thought about that, thanks, will come back here soon
