Hi

I hope you can help me out here.

I want to connect my beo4 remote to the transmitter or my Beolab 17 loudspeakers. I want the possibility to turn the loudspeakers on and off and control the volume with the remote control.

Before I bought the transmitter I had a wired connections between the loudspeakers and a Playmaker. That worked - but I want to skip the playmaker and make my system wireless.

The thing is - I need someone to tell me how to connect my beo to either the transmitter or loudspeakers - step by step :)

Thank you and regards from Denmark

You need a (B&O) ir-receiver in order to pass on the commands.

Keep your Playmaker and connect this to the Transmitter 1.

See the User Guide for how to:

Hej/hello Millemis

So I can use the transmitter as an ir-receiver!?

Ive had some problems connecting my iPhone to the playmaker. Everything is updated but somehow my phone can't find the device. Do you know why?

thank you :)

Hej bkmut,

no - the Transmitter 1 has no ir-receiver built in.

(There is an optional usb ir-dongle for controlling certain 3rd party tv's).

Do you intend to use the Playmaker as the source device for rhe BL17's?

Or was the question about Playmaker/wifi/problems an additional question?

Please tell us, what you want to play through the BL17 - as Duels already has asked above.

I want to use my tv (a sony Bravia) and a gramophone. I dont want to use the tv remote - just the beo4 for turning my bl 17 on and off and for controlling the volume.

Before I bought the transmitter I had a wired connection (playmaker and the bl 17) - at that time I could turn the bl 17 on and off and control the volume (with the beo4).

Then I bought a new boe4 remote and I can't find out how to connect it.

Sure you could....before - because the Playmaker has the needed ir-receiver for controlling it and the volume and on/off.

The Transmitter 1 has - as alteady stated - no built-in ir-receiver.

It is just a wireles PowerLink cable, so to speak.

If you want to control the volume of the tv, you must use the tv remote.

In order to control the volume of the gramophone, you must first have it connected to a preamp with volume controlling.

N.B. All Beo4's are the same - basicly!

May I ask - didn't you get any advice/information, when you bought the Transmitter 1?

Please see the User Guide for details.
