Hi all,

I am hesitating between 2 possibilities, and if some of you would have experience to share about B&O products, that would help my choice!

I have a set of Beolab 4000, with a Beosound 4 DAB. There are very good with most of my music (90 %), but on some tracks, there is something missing. I think it is mainly bass - or at least sepearation between bass and high frequency. If I increase the bass settings, it is covering the higher frequency. I also never have any infra-bass (even with max bass settings), which are clear on my Beoplay H6, or even on the last Beosound 2 (separation between bass, medium and high frequency sounds better; but overall sound is not as nice as the Beolab 4000). I would say that this lack of sound is mainly on recent electro song, with a lot of bass.

I am hesitating between adding a Beolab 11 and setting the Beolab 4000 more on the high frequency, or changing my Beolab 4000 for Beolab 3.

Does any of you already had the chance to compare Beolab 4000+Beolab 11 and Beolab 3 alone? Since Beolab 3 is more powerfull and with a more recent technology, this is the main option I am considering. I am afraid that Beolab 4000 and 11 are not adapted to recent songs, but as I did not have the opertunity to listen to that config.

Thank you for your feedback!

Ben

Hello Ben,

The Beolab 4000's are excellent speakers on their own I personally would not mess with them. Based on your requirements I would go for the Beolab 3's which seem to suit your needs.

I have tried Beolab 4000's with both the Beolab 2 and the Beolab 11. Neither provided a good result to my ears. Try Beolab 8000's with a Beolab 2. That will provide you with the bass you are after.

Beoaus.

Hi Beoaus,

Thank you for your quick feedback about my "issue" (not really an issue to be honest). I am agree, the Beolab 4000 are very good, and suit to the majority of my media:

I will take an appointment to B&O close to my towb to try some tracks on there Beolab 3 and compare with my 4000. I listen to them a very long time ago, and I do not have them in mind anymore. I did not consider the 8000 but I will think about that.

Thanks!

Ben
