For those of you who have experienced both, how would you compare the Beosound 2000/Century to the Beosystem 2500? I guess most of what I am interested in is the sound difference between the two, but other aspects as well.
Thanks in advance for any input!

Beosound 9000 MK III, Beosound Century, Beogram 5005, Beolab 8000, Beolab 5000, Beolab 4000, Beolab 5, Beovision 8, Beovision 10, Beovision 5, Beoplay A2, Beoplay E8, Beoplay H6.
They're really not in the same class. The 2000 is an all-in-one portable system - the FM antenna doubles as a carrying handle. Practically by definition it is not going to sound as good as a more serious stereo system such as the 2500 (I'd recommend the newer Beosound 4000), which cost at least $1,000 more. Are you looking for stereo separation? You won't get it in the 2000. With the 2500 and later series you can move the speakers as far apart as you want. The successor to the 2000 was the portable Beosound 1. The successor to the 2500 was the 4000, 3000, and finally 3200 series. And you can of course upgrade the speakers in the 2500 - Beolab 2500's being the entry-level. You can't with the 2000.
'Hope this helps.
I have both. I must say that the Beosound 2000, a/k/a "Century," really, impressed me! The sound is actually quite good. To me, the only downside is that the Century does not support MasterLink for mulitroom sound distribution. If you want a solid system for just a single room, the BeoSound 2000 is the way to go -- especially at its price. If you want something that works through a whole-home system, you need to look into ML solutions.
