Guys,
I have a chance to purchase a Beomaster 900M in virtually flawless condition.
The seller is in Vancouver and doesn't take PayPal, so that poses a considerable problem.
In addition the seller is FIRM on his price of CN$300 or 203 Euros.
Is this an opportunity or rather, a great chance to say thanks but NO thanks?
I know the 900 is not a high end amp, but it is iconic.
Your opinions are greatly appreciated.
This is one where I need to act quickly. If I don't hear back by Friday mid-day, I will err on the side of caution, and pass.

The one I am (was) considering is a 900M, like the one in your ad. I probably would avoid any B&O product designed for the European market due to the voltage difference issue.
The FIRM asking price of $300 Canadian dollars is almost certainly unjustifiable, as such I plan to pass.
I have this darn Beovirus and can't stop "collecting" this stuff. As it is I have a Beomaster 1000 in for repair, now for over SIX months as my very good tech has been unable to successfully repair this item. I also have a "near dead" Beomaster 4400 that needs a complete rebuilding, so acquiring yet another amp really brings one's sanity into question. (Or lack thereof)
I plan to hold off saying no until the end of the day (Pacific time) but all considered this is something I really don't "need."
I love my 900M. But paying so much for one seems a little over the top. Wait a bit longer till you find a good cheap one.

I just now emailed the seller that I "am unable to justify the selling cost." That's polite for over-priced.
I'll do just as you suggest, and wait.
I was asked to look for a birthday present for myself(it's tomorrow) and thought the Beomaster might be nice. Truth is the M75 speakers are MORE than enough of a present.
God I love those speakers AND their French tweeters, which are wonderful, by the way.
I have not seen your BM 900 thread, so you can rest easy on that one.
That said, I am now more than curious to see what it is all about.
I have emailed the seller twice and his responses have not been encouraging. Let's just say that his credibility suffered as a result.

I really wish that seller had been a bit reasonable and I'd had a new addition. Not this time.

Just to let you know I'm affected with that same virus for many years you are talking about
I have a lot of "second life" B&O's...
Currently, I have 3 Beomaster 900K's (2 with gray front and 1 black), one BM 700 (mono, with only one attached speaker) and a BM 900M (without attached speakers)
They all have a a swith on the back for adjusting main voltage - default is set to 220V
