Can someone tell me which capacitor is mounted on the outside of the PC1 frontend? The service manual is not clear on this.

Are you asking about the 100nF polyester "tropical fish" visible in the photo?

Indeed, both sides are broken while opening the metal box. So this might be the reason that I'm not getting any signal.
Is it a capacitor which is still available today ? Or is there a replacement type?

I can't find the 100nF capacitor in the service manual either.
Beomaster 4400 came with two different tuners.
Any 100nF polyester capacitor will work. It doesn't have to be a "tropical fish" type.A green or orange drop would be fine.
And which voltage should I take ?
63V or higher.

In other posts I read that these tropical fish are quite reliable, even if the outside cover is cracked.
I've replaced all elco's, tantals and pottrimmers on PC1, PC2 and tuner front end.
I get no signal out of the tuner, some cracks sometimes if I turn the potrimmers and move volume to 10
The signal meter also points to it's outer right most of the time. If I switch the tuner off and on then the signal meter sometimes is between 0 and 5.
and the stereo indicator lights up.
Where should I look first ? Should I unsolder every component and check their value ? Or should I first start with the tropical fish capacitors ?
Can 'playing' with the replaced pottrimmers cause any damage to the transistors, resistors ??
