I just bought 2 Beoplay A1 remotely from Japan. they worked well to connect to my iPhone to play the music.
However, when I tried to connect the A1 to the mobile Beoplay app, it failed.
Then I asked for B&O support, it was suggested to upgraded for firmware but it failed again.
Finally, i contacted the seller and he told me that my A1 is the early release that it is not able to have firmware upgrade and not able to connect to the mobile.
Anyone has similar experience and any idea to fix it.. Why i want to to connect to the app is I want to link 2 A1 together to have Stereo effect.
Might be a stupid question from my part, but are you certain they are genuine A1s? There are some more or less convincing knockoffs around, one example of which is shown on the video linked below. Knockoffs obviously won't work with the BeoPlay app.

Strange because I had one that I ordered from BeoPlay's site the day of the launch and I could update it and connect it to the app...
It appears you may have purchased counterfeit versions.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
