KMA
B&O product history since 1991: Ridiculously long to list in a signature.
Thanks for posting that really lovely to see people loving what they do.
Hope their new stores does well, it deserves too with staff like that.
Always brighten up your day.
Thanks guys.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
In fairness to the guys, if a team with so much genuine enthusiasm can't make the brand work - nobody can. They've made a big financial investment in the new store concept, and I hope it pays off.
I wish them all the best, along with all B&O Dealers. Without them, we'd have no Bang & Olufsen - we'd only have online 'Play' sales and their crappy reviews...
The store looks great - and many people won't realise the huge amount of effort that's gone into it. Well done B&O Manchester

Huge improvement on the "Play Wall", The current ones are getting old and dated real fast with the wood, concrete speaker blocks and the congested table
Retail is changing at a truly frightening pace these days. A store-fit which would, ten years ago, have lasted 5-6 years will now look awfully dated after 2-3 years...
Customers have almost become 'conditioned' to expecting new this, new that, fresh this, fresh that, as a matter of course. If they don't get that, they get bored - and shop elsewhere... somewhere 'cooler' and more 'happening'.
Maybe an extreme case, but the US is.. look at Las Vegas (the epitome of consumerism and capitalism in the West). Do we gently refit the hotel? Do we freshen it up with new decor? Do we add new sections and revamp what we have? Do we bring it in line with what consumers expect these days?
No, we bulldoze it to the ground - smash it to dust, stare at the empty plot of land where it all used to be, and start again...
I think UK and European stores are safe for now though as we're a little way behind America, but it's certainly something to be aware of.
The degree of enthusiasm and joy that these people display in this video is heartwarming. If this brand is going to survive, it will be because of the delight that these people have in these products and the joy in showing them off. It was such a pleasure to see this. I have been a fan of Bang and Olufsen my entire life and it is so reassuring to see this.
After watching the video yesterday, that KMA linked to, I stumpled upon another one, that most of you guys surely will find interesting:
Here is another guy, who is completely driven by passion for what he does.
He works - not for - but with Bang & Olufsen and 'his' company supplies, what some of you have - or maybe soon will have - in your walls or in the ceiling.
This presentasion goes on for more than an hour, but it is worth any minute of it.
It is part of the B&O Global Training, but Beoworlders will love it - I am sure.

Someone told me about this post, it made my day. Thank you all for your nice comments. We are very pleased with the new store and I'm lucky to have such a nice place to work.
As a side note Russ no longer works with us, let's say he moved on!
More importantly I'm really sad to say Sam is leaving us to work at Manchester University, he got an offer out of the blue that was too good to turn down, I'm going to really miss him, he's a top lad.
So from the end of this month it's me, Ian and Kev the installer.

I have to say that B&O Manchester YouTube videos are a great way for me to decide what to get from B&O. The videos are both entertaining and contain lots of valuable information. When am next in that hemisphere I might detour to Manchester just to visit the store.
Thanks guys

And that HP Envy computer with Bang & Olufsen speakers looks great! Hopefully it sounds great, too. (Which sadly wasn't the case with ANY recent computer with "Bang & Olufsen ICEpower" printed on its casing...)
