Beocenter 2 keypad problem

On my Beocenter 2 the next song button-key ( right pannel upper key ) for the CD song does not work when you touch the key. Others do it, but you have to press at least 2x.
How to fix issue?.. of course ... changing keypad is the last option.

Silly thing for me to say but have you tried to power it off, unplugging from the mains and restarting a few minutes later? Could be an electrical gremlin.

If that doesn't work, I'm sorry I don't know what the solution is. Give it a few days and hopefully someone will be able to help, the forum isn't as busy as it used to be.

Tricky - the touch sensitive aluminium panel works by being very thin and precision machined. The full service manual is on site and does have a keyboard test mode. Worth a look maybe.

In my unit the volume wheel has only a few spots where it works... I haven't taken it apart to see how it works; I guess there is something binding the PCB and the aluminum panel together, and perhaps thrue loosening or degrading this contact is somehow compromised.
