Hi B&O people,

Just joined and great to read all posts on this site!

I recently came across a CDX in ok condition. Real nice design and like the 'contact' with the disc. It's like a turntable for cd's. The machine was sort of up an running when I connected it, but after 2 cd's it quit playing. First one channel, then question mark in display and no disc spinning whatsoever. Needs some attention on the griplets and new capacitors I think. Already ordered.

PSU Capacitors
* Can the caps on the PSU be replaced with some bigger values?

Next to this have some problems with the lid.
1. motor seemed to be stuck - was able to make it move again by rotating it manually.
2. the pulley is missing a teeth, probably as a result of manually opening the lid by previous owner.
3. The aluminum of the lid has some damages/ bad spots. Was able to clean, but damages remain.

My questions:
1. In case the motor doesn't work anymore what are the specs for a replacement motor? Can I buy a new one from an electronics supplier?
2. How to obtain a new pulley? Are they for sale new / 3D printed / or used or maybe from other (Philips / B&O) players?
3. Any suggestions how to repair the aluminum? Possibly some filler or other stuff to restore it?

Thanks for any suggestions regarding the above!
Jeroen
