Hi folks,
I am looking for a transformer for my Beocord 5500 suitable for 230-240 Mains voltage.
the Beocord 5000, 6500 and 7000 transformers may also fit ?
if you got a spare one let me know - thanks
😳 ALF
I think I've got one somewhere,but shipping to 'Oz from U.K.might be a bit costly,as it's heavy?
Your's for shipping cost if I can find it!
Nick
Thanks fir the offer Nick, much appreciated.
i will take a pic and upload, so no misunderstanding possible 🤓
In the meantime could you check the best postage rate to OZ ?
cheers
ALF
Well,I have the transformer, and it is the same device in the Beocord 5500 too! It's a different part number for the Australian item, but the electrical spec is the same,so I assume it's because the part was supplied with the power lead already connected, and this being particular to each country?
No problem of course,as you can transfer the cable from the original transformer.if necessary? Are you still using those odd little three pin mains connectors down there btw?
I'll get it packed up and get some quotes for you, probably opt for UPS?
Yes Nick,
we are still using those 3-pin connectors - you could cut off the plug, reducing weight.
you may check UPS, but judging from here they are probably the most expensive service.
keep in mind express delivery is not required, slow economy mail would be fine.
awaiting the outcome
You have e.mail sir.
I notice that this transformer has a fusible resistor in series with one of the winding's ,have you checked your's?
My transformer is a US version - there is nothing youncan rewire or change 😪
Hencevthe request for a Euro version, preferably UK
All done, no further offer required 🤓
Cheers
