Just to follow you,
You have Dolby Vision working, just not over 30hz?
In what way are you missing anything?
Watching US shows for example. Almost everything made in the the US is 30 FPS.
Can you name something I can try?
I have not had any problems on Netflix so far, or movies on Itunes.
Beovision Harmony 77" 2nd Gen, Beolab 5, Beolab 17, Beosound 1, Beoplay M3, Beoplay Portal, Beoplay Earset, Beoliving Intelligence
If you put the settings to Dolby Vision and 30 Hz and try to access the TV-section of Itunes. And see if the Smithsonian free episode plays fine?
For me I just get a black screen with "no signal".
Hallo tigerisak,
Why would I put it in 30hz?
The way I have it working, is that the Apple tv settings is set to automatic.
Emil Jensen: Hallo tigerisak, Why would I put it in 30hz? The way I have it working, is that the Apple tv settings is set to automatic.
Correct. But try to uncheck the Match Dynamic Range. Want to know if you can run a clip on DV on 30 Hz which is the standard on US tv-shows.
I don’t even have a 30hz option. My Apple TV runs on 4K Dolby Vision at 60hz. It may be because I ran the cable (HDMI) check and that’s what it’s happy with. The Eclipse is happy with it too. No issues. If it’s selected to auto I still get 4K Dolby. vision.
‘Cheers. Peter

Hi Peter. Do you have it connected to the panel or the Soundcenter?

it’s connected to the sound panel. I have the ATV, SkyQ and a Blueray player all connected to Soundbar the soundbar uses one of the HDMI sockets on the side of the panel (2ARC).
cheers Peter

Then you have managed to do something that I and a lot of other people cant. Running Dolby Vision on the Eclipse with 60Hz.Im using the Belkin Ultra High Speed 4K HDMI Cable which Apple recommends to the Apple TV 4K. Could you please tell us your wiring and FW version?
I am also running with no problem, also with PS4 Pro,
And I have done it from the beginning.
I cannot choose Dolby Vision in the settings,
But if you choose automatic in all settings, it shows Dolby Vision when you put a show on that has it.

Hi. I’m using a generic 4K medium quality HDMI to the Soundcentre. Please see photo of tvOS.
Fidse:My Ps4 is still not working. I tried all the “fixes” suggested on here, and the screen still sometimes goes black, and then comes on again after 30-60 seconds or so, pretty useless when playing FIFA online... It works perfectly when plugged straight into the panel, only thing about it, it that it doesn’t automaticaly switch to the input when i turn in my PS.

Talked to Bang & Olufsen today. And they told me there will be a SW update next week to fix this issue. Lets cross our fingers!

Update on the issue. The problem lies in the DSS module that will be swapped out for a new one. So you guys that have these issues should contact your dealer ASAP.

Fidse:Could you elaborate on this, please? What is a “DSS modul” and is it only faulty in certain Eclipses, since Emil has got it working on his? Thanks. tigerisak: Update on the issue. Got this answer from Bang & Olufsen:
The repair requires a hardware update from SoundCenter, which means that the authorized service partner must perform the repair. Replacing the HDMI module (also known as the DSSE) is treated as a standard warranty. To facilitate the case processing, please provide the following reference: KE16764
So not sure if this is a fault on all panels.
But my only work with my workarounds,
It should just work, so it seem a bit sad if they have to change all if that is really the case.
I will see what the software updates will bring, but looking forward to hear from you guys.

Went down to my local dealer and told him that I have major issues with DV over 30 Hz and they replied that its a known issue. Then a couple of weeks later I got this email with a service request.
The fix is indeed a component upgrade which will be preceded by a software update.
My local dealer contacted me yesterday afternoon and said it would be carried out in the next few months.
It will be carried out in home and is a resolution to the inherent problem with regards to 30hz and Apple TV, 4k blu ray players etc etc.
Finally some good news

B&O product history since 1991: Ridiculously long to list in a signature.
completely agree.
but remember its not over til the fat lady sings!
Knowing B&O it'll put everything else out of sync !
At least I now feel justified having spent £8.5K in October 2017.
Money well spent - NOT
What a mug!
Sandyb:I was alarmed to read on the forum the other day a Horizon or BV14 owner mentioning that sound occasionally disappears, prompting a power cycle. I had the same issue with the 14 i bought 18 months ago! Yes, 18 months ago.....

Beer_Baron: Roger: Regarding new panels for the Eclipse: the planned swap is June, but as we all know it will depend heavily on them emptying the current stock in time. Roger Hi Roger, how definite is that? B&O in Sydney haven't heard anything about that (but I guess they would say that, wouldn't they). AFAIK, the Eclipse is selling reasonably well so I would assume that stocks would deplete around that time. Hard to believe that LG are still producing old screens for B&O - I imagine B&O swapped over to the new screens already, it's just a question of length of production time and current stock depletion, but that is my guess.

Update on the HDMI module swap. The sparepart will be available in June here in Denmark.I was booked in for week 24.
The swap will also include switching two HDMI cables and a SW update on the Soundbar.

I thought I have the same issue; but now I am not sure anymore.
I replaced my HDMI cable for the second time (this time to a certified cable). Immediately when turning on the appleTV, I got the same picture issues (flashing black/noise). But after switching to Dolby Vision 60Hz I tested the AppleTV for several hours and did not get the issue anymore.
Fingers crossed....
How often do you see the issue re-occuring?

Dennis
A quick update after the new management team presented their plan for the company.
Of the 3 new segments (TV's, BS1/BS2/Speakers and "Play") only the latter made a two digit profit. This is the reason for the change of plans in the other two segments.
Last year the dealers were told that the new design approach with LG for the Eclipse made it easier to swap the panels as LG continued to develop the OLED technology, making it possible for B&O to present a BeoVision with fresh screen tech for the years to come. This approach seems to be dropped now. Instead, the current Eclipse and Horizon will continue to run as-is. The breaking news is that, unless the management team is replaced again, these will be the last BeoVision's as we know them: the future may be some fancy type of soundbar, one for the smaller sizes (less expensive) and a motorized one for bigger sizes (65/77/88). But with the current number of U-turns a lot can change before the launch of these in 2019.
IMHO, B&O need another Knudsen & Lewis combo to make a new "Break Point" - bring back the Danes in the management of the company! Convince the board that there is a place for B&O in the future of audio and video, and drop the current haunt for the same segment occupied by countless companies such as Bose and others. And drop the idea of B&O being the Louis Vuitton equivalent - a pure luxury material and design company.
B&O will continue to update colors etc for the Eclipse - keeping the design fresh.
So i should stop dreaming of a BV11/14 with an OLED panel?!......
Sandyb: So i should stop dreaming of a BV11/14 with an OLED panel?!......
Don't stop dreaming... but also keep an eye on reality and don't get too disappointing :-( I would swap my BV14 if I could get an OLED in that classic design too...

Isn’t that, what a lot of Beoworldern have been yearning for for some tine now.
Let’s see what ‘some fancy type of soundbar’ will bring...

Roger:A quick update after the new management team presented their plan for the company.
Thanks Roger, not a very promising update!
"Believe nothing you read and only half of what you see, let your ears tell you the truth."
I was going to point out the same thing.....many have argued for this.
Whatever they do, lets hope they execute well.
That, though, still represents a compromised vision vis-a-vis the past - whether thats sensible realism or defeatism is a whole other debate.
Back to watching Tesla stock fall....
I guess a company of B&O's current size with very limited staff can only do so much now - and B&O will have to stay away from products / combos that require heavy SW development.
Companies such as Apple and Tesla are world leaders within SW in their product fields - the comments made when the disruptive iPhone was launched from the management of companies such as Blackberry and Nokia seems rather funny now, but the same type of comments are made from ex-executives from companies such as GM now regarding Tesla. Who knows if software and digitalization is the right path the auto industry, but I do like companies that stick to their original ideas and tries to stay on track no matter what's thrown at them... just like Porsche did with keeping the engine at the rear some 50+ years ago.
I guess B&O can't compete with LG, Sony, Apple etc when it comes to the development of digital platforms. I just hoped that the partnership with LG was more than it seems to be now. As pointed out by Karel - there must be a market for the classy BV14 with OLED?
As much as I like and embrace all the new B&O tech, I must say: may my BV Avant/2014 last long ;-)
That said, if a ‘fancy type of soundbar’ will include proper speakers management (Atmos, here we come), PUC-controlling of external devices, updated HDMI support with Return Channel and controlling via BeoRemote, all hope is not lost.
I very much enjoy my motorized stand every day, with my ECLIPSE,
This would be missed.
Also that everything is in one.
I have not regretted my first Beovision (ECLIPSE) It is a joy every day, much more than all the other system that I have had.

An OLED/LG updated BV14 would be a great farewell to B&O-tv’s....if it must be.
Indeed, though not sure if PUC controllers will be needed in the future.
The next gen HDMI spec is fairly lengthy, so i'm less sure about PUC going forward.
And with a sound centre being sold, is there a need for a Beoremote? Maybe, though not in its current form i think.
And like you, i am going to treat my BV12-65 and Avant 55 (gen 1) to a daily morning prayer.
