Could you maybe post a picture of the menu, where you (don’t) see it?
Generally speaking Adaptive Mode is what is used, if you haven’tvchanged anything.
Please look in the Sound Info, when you watch different programmes, what is listed there as active mode.

AdamS:Generally, we love it. The picture is superb, the wireless interface with the BL90s and the rest of our stuff is faultless and it performs brilliantly. As an aside, the installation service from our dealer was superb and included hiding the cables inside the wall and re-plastering it. Very impressed!

Mikipidia:On the 50’s i recognise it immidiately in soundsignature. Also if you have nice 24bit 196khz files to play, it doesn’t anymore. But most importantly you only sort of AT BEST get half of the room compensation. I convinced Willie, my friend from our podcast to try it as he did the same and now he’ll never go back to wisa for 90’s. The difference imo is subtle but big enough to notice. They become way more refined when wired, even the 50’s do that in an audible way.
ok, thanks
What cables are you / Willstar using? XLR or say PL?
Cheers
We both use Cat7 PL cables, I have no idea about brands on mine as they are generic but they works well.
btw this is what mr G, our speaker god had to say about what and why and how this works:
''In a normal operating mode (meaning, that the speaker is not running its room compensation measurements, for example... You're just sitting and listening to music...):
From there, each loudspeaker's DSP does its own signal processing, which includes (but is not exclusive to) (and in no particular order):
Each DSP then outputs one audio channel per driver (7 for the BL50, 18 for the BL90).
This "helicopter view" description is true of the BeoLab 90's and of the BeoLab 50's. There is no difference between the two loudspeaker models within the limitations of what I've described here.
One important thing to note here is the difference between WiSA/WPL and the other inputs. The ARC (Adaptive Room Compensation) algorithm in the BL50/90's uses both audio channels to create a single output channel for each loudspeaker's room compensation signal. In other words, the left loudspeaker is compensating for both the left and the right loudspeakers' interaction with the room. (Ditto for the right loudspeaker.) However, this is only possible if each loudspeaker gets both audio channels at its input - which is true for analogue and wired digital connections, but not for WiSA/WPL (see point #3 above). If you are using a WiSA/WPL connection, then a portion of the room compensation is not working, since each loudspeaker only receives one audio input channel.
So, for example, I have seen some "reviews" or comparisons done by people online where the 50's or 90's are connected to an audio source via the wireless connection. This means that the ARC algorithm is not doing everything it can - and so the comparison may not be completely fair (assuming that the intention is to do a best-case-to-best-case A/B comparison). Whether or not this will affect the conclusions of the comparison is impossible to predict, since a 1 or 2 dB difference in listening level, or a change in loudspeaker and/or relative listening position will also influence the perceived sound.
Cheers-geoff ''
Hope this helps, took me for ever to find it to back my claim up :p In my opinion in WiSa mode you loose one of the best things about the 50's and especially the 90's as with the 90's it has an even bigger impact on sound performance imho.
Anybody else that got a new "stand update" yesterday? When I started the TV its says new stand software installed. And after that I can't manage to get any sound . Under sound info it says: Input Dolby Audio 2.0 and on output 0.0.
The remote is also not working all the time and the stand won't go into standby mode.
You are not the only one who have experienced problems with no sound after the latest update, I got the same problem, ending up making a factory reset of the sound center.
Afterwards I find out that the problem was related to “Clip Protection” a function which is turned ON by default, but in my case turned OFF because I have recognized it cut off the lower bass to my BL5 speakers.
But after this software update it is no longer possible to disable the function, if doing so it will replace the sound with a high frequency tone, which will not disappear before turning the function back ON again and restart the TV.
I lately also has experienced, several times the remote has lost the communication to the TV and need to be re paired, sometimes it’s necessary to make a factory reset to the Beoremote before it is possible to successfully pair the two.
I already has contacted my B&O dealer and even B&O too, so just hope they very soon will come up with a solution.

Hi,
I have also a problem with my Eclipse after latest software update (2.7.xxx). The standby-indicator that always lights green when playing a music-source (Deezer or Music DLNA) dont light up at all anymore when playing music source and the screen is black. In the Manual for the Eclipse it says that the standby-indicator always should be green when the screen is off and when a music-source is played.
This software error is not a big thing, but they have done a lot of things with the soundcenter with the new software and I can NOT see any improvements at all. Just negative things with the new software. I hope B&O reads all this comments and make a fix.
The bad thing about B&O and software is that it always take so long time to fix an error in the software compared to other brands. I wonder if B&O ever will be good at software in their products. It is now many years with bad software in different products (Beovision 14, Beolab 50, Beosound Moment etc....).

Yes it seems like they have done a lot with the sound center and for what reason and just agreeing, hope really B&O read everything in this tread.
Another thing I experienced after this software update is that a bad sounding noise can appear in the speakers when turning the system off.
We have had some problems with our Eclipse since tonight, too. When selecting stations from the cable network, the TV picture does not produce any sound; after a short time the message "no signal found" or "invalid service" and "only data" appears.A short time later there is sound and image, sometimes the message remains, so only switching helps. This issue runs across almost all channels, no matter if SD or HD.
Sometimes picture and sound are immediately there, but not the next time.
In the LG forum I could not read any information about it.I restarted the devices, plugged in the antenna cable and plugged it in again, also removed the hard drive and the CI module, no changes.
Only if I disconnect the main cable for couple minutes everything runs fine.
My Dealer and the support is involved, we are waiting for an answer.

And the problem with “Clip Protection” is finally solved. Hopefully other problems from the previous software update are solved too.
Unfortunately Bang & Olufsen’s support line is very hard headed to communicate with, it’s simply impossible to have a constructive conversation, especially if you have knowledge yourself at technician level. They will never, never admit there possibly has been flaws in one of there software updates, the dialog will turn to pure nonsense if you confront them.
With the software update yesterday there is still problem with Stand-by indicator when playing music (Deezer, DLNA). With the software 2.5.xxx and earlier, the standbyindicator always had a green light when playing a Music-source. From software 2.7.xxxx the standby-indicator sometimes lights up when starting a Music-source but after 10 minutes it go off (black). I have send this software bug to B&O-support but nothing happens.
It is not a big deal but I agree that it is impossible to make a decent conversion with B&O and their support-team.

Seanie_230:Evening all I just spent three hours reading from page 1 to about 20 and gave up. In short I JUST BOUGHT AN ECLIPSE 65 I am super excited if not worried that A it might feel weird going from the Avant 55 loosing the menu structure and this HDMI 2 logo i read about. B Adjusting to the LG interface on screen compared to the avant might make me sad C if i like or dislike the silver speaker cover, might change to Piano black D if he will give me that amazing Bang and Olufsen feeling. It is going to sit between my Lab5’s with 6000’s in the rear Only STB will be a Apple TV which I really don’t know if I will need anymore but I kind of like the interface and access to iMovie app. Well its waiting time now until it arrives and i am excited and concerned at the same time as it was a huge move from the avant 55 MK1.5 to the first LG and B&O collaboration. Still Mikipedia YouTube video’s shows that two of the lads have them so fingers crossed. Now I wait in anticipation hoping that my concern will fade.
