How does one go about removing the dust cover?  I removed the four screws in the back and the unit just thumbed its nose at me...what am I not doing?

If you want to remove the dust cover and leave the hinges behind. Lift the cover and remove the four screws (2 each side) that are holding the cover to the hinges. The cover will fall off so take care. Easier with another pair of hands.

If you want to remove the cover and hinges together. Remove the rear cover (2 screws). Remove the screws holding the hinges down to the bed of the deck (may have to release the springs to get your screwdriver in). The cover and hinges should lift off but may be stuck to the locating lugs towards the  front of the hinges. Slight force may be required.
