What is the difference between the BeoMaster 2400 and 2400-2?

(From Tim Jarman's book)  'The BM2400-2 gained extra connections in the record player socket that allowed it to turn the record player on by remote control - but only with a BG4004 or 2400.'

Datalink, effectively.

The volume displays are also quite different. I had a very early 2400-2 - beautiful device and really not bad sounding at all. The 2200 was better though but just not as flash!

And from Beocentral.com: ...in case of the Beomaster 2400... a record player could be startet....(http://beocentral.com/beomaster2400). So this is no difference. I think, it's about the volume control and variation in design.
