My BV 4 42" recently stopped working. BeoSystem 1 and everything else works great.
I got the quote back, and it costs $2,048 to get the TV working again. It comes with a 6 month warranty.
Is it worth it? I had the TV since 2005. It still delivers a great picture (when it is working). But I am torn whether I should make this investment, or not.
Any advise/opinons from forum members would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Thomas
Seems jolly expensive to me! I am sure you could probably get a replacement Panasonic screen for considerably less. Or even a Beovision 5!
Peter
Why not get a used Panasonic Display (that what your tv should be...).Around 200$ over here.

It could be done with a BS2, so might work for you as well....
OR:
You should be able to get used working system for that price (at least over here).Even a Beovision 5 could cost less.
Best regards
Ralf

I was too slow...
Many thanks for the quick responses.
Theoretically any TV could work - and then I use the BS 1 (or 2 - I am confused about the naming - it is a big black box) as a receiver by just taking the audio out and plugging it into the STB audio in port.
Or am I mistaken?
