I disagree. My dealer offered 20% discount. There is a big SALE sticker on the store vitrine.

It was listed for 9975 EUR + 1250 EUR for the fixed wall bracket. ( high tax in my country )

I bought both for 8300 EUR after negotiation which is almost 30% discount )

I also bought the beosound moment + Beolab 20's for 9250 EUR

Then you are a lucky guy that you could buy a Avant 85" + wall bracket for euro 8300!! Cost more then euro 22.000

I meant no in general, there is a discount at least where I live up to 25% on ALL AVANT TVs, BL20s, BL5, Besound moment and accessories.

Folks

I did not check but have no doubt that discounts will be available for the Avant. My dilemma is that I love the Avant design but the lack of HDR is a major gap for me considering that new OLED TVs have that but I have a feeling that I will not be too thrilled by the Eclipse (Design like BV7 versus Avant) and also the pricing.

Not sure how other B&O fans are solving the dilemma ? Do you feel that just 4K is sufficient and HDR can be ignored ? I am still not too sure. On one hand, I would like to jump on Avant 85 (with some decent discount only) but on the other hand, if I buy that TV, I will be out of options to buy anything for the next 10 years ( if I feel that HDR makes world of a difference).

Do you need a 85"? I have a BV12-65 and it's huge and could easily transition back down to a 55". Why not simply look at the new Eclipse 65" and make a decision when you see it next week?

If I was going to buy a new TV right now, I'd consider either a Sony A1 or a Loewe Bild. Both look good, reviewed well. My biggest issue with the A1 is the remote design (remember the days when Sony produced cool metal remotes?).

Thank you Moxxey. Very well said. I will certainly look at Eclipse next week and reevaluate if I really need 85 inch.

I am in the USA  and unfortunately do not have access to Loewe. Used to have Loewe when I was in Middle East for few years and absolutely loved their products. Sony is a great TV and a worthy contender.

Sincerely appreciate

I have the Avant 85" (before I have the BV 4-65") and I am very happy with it. Very good screen and the 4K is for me SuperB and not need a 85" HDR (wil also not so easy to get for the coming time.

When you want to have a HDR (for now max 65") you can take a look at the new Eclipse..... your choice.

I do not care for HDR or 4k for that matter (off cause 85" need 4K)

But I do care for the OLED technology,

I have now for the past years had an LG 1080P OLED Screen, after being through severel Panasonic Plasma and LCD television, and one thing is sure, I am not moving back to LED after having OLED it is just so much better.

I do like the AVANT awesome TV just missing the OLED, but Again in 85" you cannot get in OLED.

So my 2 cent, you want 65" wait and see, you want 85" go for the AVANT and forget about HDR

Beovision Harmony 77" 2nd Gen, Beolab 5, Beolab 17, Beosound 1, Beoplay M3, Beoplay Portal, Beoplay Earset, Beoliving Intelligence

All about the video processing - the Sony A1 and the top end Panasonic seem to edge out the LG across a variety of metrics.

If I was looking to buy one of the top end OLED screens, and therefore likely concerned with 4k, having HDR 10 and Dolby Vision both would be important. The Sony and the LG TV'S have both (pending updates), the Panasonic will only have HDR 10.

My assumption is that the Eclipse will have both
