Hi, just got a pair of Beolab 6000 which I want to connect to my Beomaster 3000 (which also is connected to the Beogram 3000).
How do I connect the speakers to the Beomaster?
I only got the 8 pin powerlink-cables from the Beolab 6000 speakers, but there is no such connection on the beomaster. Only a 7 pin and a RCA (red/white) connection.
Please help me! :)
It can't be done easily as you ideally need an amplifier with a Powerlink Output, which the BM3000 doesn't have.
Get in touch with Steve at Sounds Heavenly (sponsor at foot of page) for options, but you possibly need to buy one of these: http://soundsheavenly.com/line-in-connection/33--attenuator-.html
Great minds think alike ...
Thank you for the response guys, the speakers I already use for my Beomaster and Beogram is the Beoplay S8.
Is there any options to connect the Beolab 6000 directly in the them instead (using the connection hub or directly to the bass using a RJ45 - powerlink converter.
To clearify, I have a setup of Beomaster 3000, Beogram 3000 connected to my existing Beoplay S8 (works really well) and now I want to use the Beolab 6000 I got as extra speakers for the system! :)
Hi hejsam,
Thanks for your enquiry - the replies above are correct that you can use the Beolab 6000s directly with the Beomaster via my attenuator if you wish.
If you prefer to use the S8 Hub, this is also possible as follows:-
1) Use an RJ45 to Powerlink cable from the Hub to the first Beolab 6000: http://soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/31-rj45-to-powerlink-compatible-all-in-one-cable-convert-new-2013-ethernet-powerlink-to-traditional-8-pin-din-powerlink.html
2) Use a Powerlink cable between the two 6000s: http://soundsheavenly.com/powerlink-8-pin-din-connection/20-powerlink-mk-3-compatible-8-pin-din-cable-with-4-cores-wired-low-profile-cable.html
3) Use an RJ45 to Powerlink cable from the second 6000 to the S8 subwoofer: http://soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/31-rj45-to-powerlink-compatible-all-in-one-cable-convert-new-2013-ethernet-powerlink-to-traditional-8-pin-din-powerlink.html
If you need any further help, please feel free to ask!
Kind regards, Steve.

Thank you Steve, I really appreciate your work! :)
I found an interesting converter on a Swedish site:
https://www.beoshop.se/product/rj45-kontakt
Would it be so easy with that converter that one powerlink-cable goes from each Beolab 6000 speaker in to the converter then the RJ45-cable to the Beoplay S8?
If so which line-out should I use, (connection hub or the subwoofer)?
Yes, I also stock that item: http://soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/27-rj45-powerlink-compatible-splitter-new-powerlink-to-two-8-pin-din-powerlink-compatible-sockets.html
There are many ways to connect these speakers, the best option usually depends on the room layout - if you would like to upload a sketch of the room showing where the speaker are, then we can advise you better on the simplest way to cable them.
Hi,
My idea was to use the original satellite speakers as front speakers, and then the 2 beolab 6000 as backspeakers (behind my couch).
Found a problem though There is only one Line-out on the whole Beoplay S8 system (on the connection hub) and it goes to the subwoofer. And the subwoofer doesnt have any Line-out. Searched on your website but could not find any adapter where one rj45 line-out- splits it to two.
Do you understand my problem? :)
Yes, I understand! Unfortunately, I have never seen a good quality, shielded male RJ45 to twin female RJ45 socket adapter. Hence, the best option is the male RJ45 to twin female DIN adapter that we discussed already, then you can use an RJ45 to DIN cable to connect from one socket of this adapter to the Beoplay S8:-

You can use a normal DIN to DIN Powerlink from the other socket of the adapter to the first Beolab 6000 and another one between the two rear speakers:-

Hi Steve,
I have tried all of the different suggestions you gave me (got them from the swedish website).
Unfortunately none of the ideas worked, seems it´s impossible to get the Beoplay S8 to give out sound to both the original sattelite speakers and the beola 6000 speakers at the same time..
I got sound from all speakers by one solution but a really loud humm from the speakers all the time (while not playing).
If you bought the cables from a different seller, they may not be correct for your needs (did the other seller confirm suitability?) My cables won't cause any humming noises, as they will be correctly wired for your equipment.
I would suggest contacting the other seller to see if he has sold you the correct items, you should be entitled to a refund under EU selling regulations.
So think the cables are the problem?
They were cables specificly made for B&O..
Okay so lets sum this up, if you were providing me with the cables which setup would you made me do?
I have the Beoplay S8 (2nd generation) with the 2 original sattelite speakers and the connection hub, the whole system only got 1 line-out (from the connection hub to the subwoofer).
I want to add 2 more speakers to the system, a pair of Beolab 6000. I want everything to work (including adjusting the volume on the whole system from the connection hub). And no humming or interferance.
Thanks again
I can't comment on cables that another seller has provided, but there should not be any humming noise if the cables are wired correctly. Please see my replies in the thread above for links to the correct items to connect all three speakers to the single output of the Hub, with volume control from the Hub for all speakers, without any humming issues.
Thank you, I will try and order your cables instead.
Is it this answear you are refering to? :)
Sorry, I mean to copy this answear:
Yes, please use these cables that we discussed and also this RJ45 to twin female DIN splitter:-
http://soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/27-rj45-powerlink-compatible-splitter-new-powerlink-to-two-8-pin-din-powerlink-compatible-sockets.html
So i connect the rj45 to twin-din into the out-line on the connection hub.
Then from 1 of the twin-din to the first Beolab speaker.
A regular powelink to the second Beolab speaker.
Then a din - rj45 from the second twin-din to the subwoofer.
Correct? :)
Perfect!
Thanks, have ordered now.
Will let you know when I get it and hopefully sucessfully have installerad it! :)
