Carolpa: Interesting
Interesting
Very. I have a few immediate yes/no questions, but I don't expect anybody can answer them at this time. The most important ones are:
1. Does this mean that existing Beosound Moments will get to stream Deezer HiFi?
2. Will this require a software update to the Moment?
3. Will Deezer HiFi be available in all countries (most interested in my own, of course😬)?
I see the the Verge articles says that "Previously exclusive to Sonos, Deezer HiFi will, over the next few months, also be on Sony, Samsung, Yamaha, Bang & Olufsen, Onkyo...". So it's not available now, at any rate. I suppose we'll hear from B&O on this "over the next few months" then.

excellent news, if is as it appears.....!!
jimcaj:3. Yes. From the support article: “Deezer HiFi is a high fidelity audio service available to users all around the world”
This is great news.
It appear that the subscription options for Sweden yet are unchanged.
Hope I will be able to upgrade to "Deezer HIFI" soon.

The way I understand this, Deezer HiFi will be available "via Chromecast". It would seem like this rules out any product that doesn't already support Chromecast. If this is so, systems like the M5 and Beosound 1/2 will get Deezer HiFi, while the Moment will not.
Does anybody know if built in Chromecast support is a question of updating the software, or if it requires hardware that the Moment does not have?
Sandyb:My dealer had an email yesterday saying the whole product range will be getting the Hifi upgrade next month
Duels:Presumably the bs1, bs2 and core etc don't need to be physically upgraded as such?
Lossless Deezer HiFi soon to be available on Bang & Olufsen and B&O PLAY productsFormerly referred to as Deezer Elite, the newly rebranded Deezer HiFi will be extending its offering to new partners, including Bang & Olufsen.Deezer HiFi will offer higher quality lossless music (in FLAC format) to customers that want even higher quality of listening experience, with lossless capture of the original content, at 5x the bitrate of the standard Deezer offering (at 1,411 kbps).Support for Deezer HiFi will be provided as a software update to our products and the Bang & Olufsen App, in October 2017. The products supported will be BeoSound Moment, BeoSound 1, BeoSound 2, BeoSound 35, BeoSound Essence 2nd gen, BeoSound Core, Beoplay M5, Beoplay A6, Beoplay A9 2nd gen. and BeoVision Eclipse, when used with the Bang & Olufsen App. Towards the end of the year Deezer HiFi will also be available over Chromecast built-in and thus usable via the official Deezer App. We will provide an update closer to the availability of the feature. Deezer HiFi is priced 19,99 EUR / month and it an optional offering, as customers can still enjoy the “standard” Deezer Premium+ (priced at 9,99 EUR / month), if they want to do so.
Damn. Just read that you can only have the one profile on Deezer HiFi per £19.99. It makes it expensive if both me and missus subscribe to it (£40 month) as opposed to the standard Deezer Family at £14.99.
HiFi provides you with a single profile, the same as Premium+. If you want multiple profiles, check out Deezer Family

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Deezer HIFI will be available on the BS Moment and the next version of the Bang & Olufsen app (I am a bit confused as I thought it to be included in 1.1.5, but Thomas from B&O said that it will be included from 1.1.6). The subscription is the standard one, i.e 19.99 euro/month, from Deezer for lossless (that is twice what you pay for standard 320 kbps quality).

... if only it was possible to combine Hifi with the Family subscription I would be happy.

I just updated my Beosound 2 software.
it plays flac quality via Deezer Hifi now!!
but I’m still awaiting my beosound moment software update sigh...
Beolab 5 Final Edition, Beosound Moment
Maniax: but I’m still awaiting my beosound moment software update sigh...
As a recent HIFi user, I have the feeling that the B&O devices are natively capable to support Deezer WiFi and that the lock was on the Deezer side. The software updates are just made to bring the indicator that a FLAC track is being played. That’s my opinion and the fact that a M5 or an A6 can join a Moment playing a HiFi stream without any software update conforts me in this thinking. But I may be wrong....

Just checked my Deezer account. Still nothing there to suggest i can upgrade to HIFI as yet (in Australia). When is this arriving, does anyone know?

I subscribed through this.
A question for those already using the Hifi version, is there a marked difference in sound quality between the two versions on your b&O systems?
badgersurf: A question for those already using the Hifi version, is there a marked difference in sound quality between the two versions on your b&O systems?
Yes you hear the difference if the recording is good.
i used the Deezer HFi playlist as suggested in this thread before and after moving to HIFi.
But for this you need the newer beta software. Correct?
Beobuddy: But for this you need the newer beta software. Correct?
Not so sure about that .... The latest JB beta version introduced an indicator when the streaming is FLAC, same for the IOS App, but I'm convinced that there is no B&O device limitation as they are natively able to play 16bits 44.1 Khz tracks. For me limitation comes from the Deezer side and they should have removed the Sonos only lock.
But only B&O can confirm
I think it will be interesting if beoworld make a deeper profil and then we could do collaborative playlist.
I don't understand that b&o has not an official profil on deezer to publish official playlist like they do when they publish CD before.
I've managed to upgrade to Deezer Hi Fi today and my credit card has been charged. I used a link that Hiort had posted.
No where on my B&O App though does it say it is playing in FLAC Lossless. I'm using version 1.2.0.9900 of the App. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
The music does sound better, so I'm hoping that it actually has upgraded to FLAC.
